Supercar parade - Click above to watch the videos after the jump

It's Godzillapalooza time boys and girls! More precisely, the day before the 2010 Nissan GT-R had to go back, my buddy Steve asked if I could give him a ride in the Skyline. Well, he'd actually been calling since two weeks before the car showed up, but anyhow, Steve is a filmmaker and he showed up camera in hand. Our plan, quite honestly, was just a quick blast across some empty freeways and nothing more. But then we saw the exit for Angeles Crest Highway and even though it was amateur day (Sundays = dozens of motorcycles riding off sheer cliffs in front of cops) we figured Steve should see Godzilla eat a canyon. Plus, after you get a few miles up you can turn left off Angeles Crest onto Angeles Highway, a much less congested (and some would argue better) road.

What happened next is one of the many reasons I'm never leaving Southern California. Stuck behind a pickup truck is a veritable supercar parade. From front to back: Ferrari F355 Spyder, Ferrari F430 Spyder, Mothra BMW M6, Dodge Viper SRT10, Ferrari F430 Spyder. I can't say for certain, but I think Godzilla was smiling. Eventually the truck pulled over and it was on. Well, OK, we got stuck behind the slow Ferrari, but it was still quite fun.

We all stopped for lunch where we asked the drivers if the matching Ferrari shirts add 5 horsepower. Then we hopped back in the cars, but not before I announced that the Nissan would be running mid-pack. The Viper driver yelled, "Try to keep up!" Little did he know I was wearing my high performance flip-flops. Thanks to Steve for filming and cutting the video: follow the jump to watch it.

Awsome video.. wish it was longer especialy to have a clip of that Viper Owner saying "..keep up!" and your responce would of been classic.
First the people complaining about the "Zoom" effects, the person never claimed to be a proffesional director, second the music it was soft and more like faint backround music to me atleast.
Second those complaining about him doing this on a public road. How do you know or not know he was doing the speed limit? No sign of the speedo was shown on the GTR or of the other cars.
Third Jonny thank you for sharing I hope your coverage of other cars is similar to this (as in fully comprehensive and even a lil tid bit after the review is ova :) ).

      Its not a Skyline anymore.

Angeles Crest is like a popular surf spot.

Great mid-week and off-hours, but an epic clusterfnck poseurfest on the weekends.

Both can be entertaining in their own way.

I still think I'd take a Viper any day. I'm more of a low end person and I'm all about the V8's!

Dummy me forgot that a Viper has a V10, on the other hand I don't care because I like big engines.

After basicallyevery single one of your readers complains about people adding cheesy/crappy music to car videos and drowning out the sounds of the engine, Autoblog goes and does the exact same damn thing.

What the hell is that music and WHY the hell did you put it in this video? Shame on you.
The GTR doesn't make any sort of sound worth hearing anyway.
So you know, Autoblog had ZERO to do with the editing of the video.

I was just driving the dang car, man.

        In flip-flops

Drowned out as it may have been, it was still nice to hear the Ferrari in the tunnel!

Are you really having more fun in that car on that road than you would in a Miata? Or is it just a boost to your penis length?

I've found a much less congested better road to pilot my 04 VW R32 up and down.
take 101 north and jump on topanga canyon rd aka 27 toward mailbu
this road doesnt have tons of bikers/bicyclist and everybody else piloting up and down it.
Topenga Canyon is the most congested road in that location. There are many that are better. But Topenga does a great job of getting you to the rest of them. My favorite road in that area is Tuna Canyon
