Ken Block's two Gymkhana practice videos have set the bar for four-wheeled video entertainment, but the crew from IMV is here to prove that you don't need a Crawford-tuned Subaru WRX STI, a stratospheric budget and an abandoned airport to serve up the thrills.

With a beaten base Impreza, a few sets of tires and enough fireworks to send Patton cowering under a desk, the creators of Scumballers and Team Torque have created ten full minutes of epic hoontastic footage, although it looks like much of the vehicular tomfoolery takes place on open public roads, something we don't exactly approve of or recommend. In either case, make the jump to check it out. Hat tip to Evotec.

Pointless, f*ckung boring and a perfect waste of ten minutes of my life...

Oh, and throwing plastic covers on the road while other people use that same road is real mature and responsable. The sub avoided the plastic, but what if there were a motorcycle following it, sees it too late and gets tangled up in that plastic. All for the sake of one dumb hillbilly video...

ALL STUNTS WERE PERFORMED BY PROFESSIONALS OR UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF PROFESSIONALS ON CLOSED ROADS, PRIVATE ROADS, AND PRIVATE RACETRACKS USING STUNT CARS AND SAFETY VEHICLES. - IMVFilms.com

that's responsible of course, my mistake
Seems like you could have figured that our by the writeup. Why did you waste your time?
Remove the corncob, drink a cold beer and watch it again. This is misspending one's youth at it's best!

anyone who doesn't think this is funny should put down the computer and go change their Pampers.

Remember, no crying or you'll get spanked...
Oh yeah, nothing says funny like hitting strollers with (albeit fake) babies and endangering innocent motorists on public roads. It doesn't matter where these people are or what videos they've done before, this is stupid and trying to point out that it is a joke (and really, none of it was funny) doesn't make it any more appropriate.

Autoblog has been trying to become more mainstream and respectable... but this is exactly why that will never happen; promoting trash and slapping a "warning" label on it doesn't make it any better.
Yeah, minus the public roads and the throwing of thing (tarps) onto the roads, it was awesome. Stick to the backroads, and have your fun.

I thought the base 2.5 model has 170hp?
Thats engine hp; the video stated wheel hp.
Probably a 20% drivetrain loss plus whatever compression loss since date of manufacture.

      that was freaking awesome.
Roto, for your information, arguing on the Internet is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.

      That said, Pampers. No crying.
Wow thats pretty original, I've never heard that one before. Nope. Not once. You must be a stand-up comedian.

I wish my weekend was that fun... I did overtime work :(
      • 6 Years Ago
Says 130 WHP which is wheel horsepower which is probably a good guestimate if they didn't actually dyno it (why would they).
I can't help but agree with some of the others- The video was amusing right up until they started throwing stuff out of the vehicles while driving in traffic. I could forgive the hoonery on public roads if the roads were deserted, but doing it in traffic is reckless. The pretend baby kill was in poor taste as well. Save that stuff for 4chan.
The girls acting was internet meme worthy.
Is he running on spare dognut tires?
No. And as their lawyer (not really) none of this ever happened. =]
Incredibly stupid. This shouldn't even be posted on Autoblog - people like this don't need encouragement.
Beaters sure are fun... that said, the stunts these guys pulled on public roads make them all certifiable morons.
