It has to come off sooner or later. FXX can't possibly pass a speed bump without leaving some components behind.

@KC
You mean just like the Gumbert Apollo?
sparrk 12:38PM (6/23/2009)
they will take the time down . the FXX isn't street legal. and it's slower than the Aston DBR9 and even the Caparo T1 wich is street legal but too low for real world driving.
For a street legal FXX , check the edo FXX.

@ pcrager , the Gumpert Apollo has a fully adjustable suspension, the ground clearance can be set from 40 to 120 mm.

@pcrager
Dont forget that when the guy's fat friend got out he made it over

The T1's time should be back up there soon, Caparo has added auto adjustable front suspension since the first power lap. And yeah, take that FXX time off the list, it's just not fair.

Well done Ferrari.

Saw 13-1 last night, was excellent! Best episode I've seen in a while.
Also, I really want a Lotus Evora now... hehe.

Post up his Reasonably Priced Car lap as well - MUCH better than the FXX

Oddly, they explained before driving it that it's not really a 'road' car. So it shouldn't really be given a spot on the board.
But still amazingly fast, a true "F1 car with wipers."
Shows where Ferrari's typical road cars will be in a few years :D

I am sure they will take it down next episode. Crazy to see what that car can do though.

i'd pay $100 for a ride like that... think about it 6flags... $100 for 1:10; take you right out of bankruptcy... although i guess you'd have to spend few mil per car...

Tires (which wouldn't even last a day) and maintenance - it probably costs more than $100 per lap to run the car that aggressively!
Kowell 11:44AM (6/23/2009)
Is this car actually road legal?
This is supposed to be a major factor to see wether a car can be on the board or not.

It just has to be able to make it over a speed bump
Farmboy 3:06PM (6/23/2009)
No. But it is based off the street-legal Enzo.
Sofa King Fast! 12:19PM (6/23/2009)
You can get the FXX in street-legal make-up. It'll cost you almost $3 Million to get a street legal FXX but you can do it.
Here's an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rApzM8egCDQ
Oh yeah....that was F*$#ing awesome!
