When the new
Knight Rider hit the airwaves, some were
a bit disappointed thoroughly livid that Michael's new ride was a
Mustang. Since the original KITT was a Trans Am, purists cried foul and said a more natural replacement would be the all-new
2010 Chevrolet Camaro. Fortunately or unfortunately, one enterprising Camaro owner decided to take up the task and right the show's perceived wrongs. Camaro5 poster Spaceballone picked up a $135
Scanner Light equipped with 64 ice blue LEDs and three built-in patterns. The
hood slot in the Camaro fit the kit perfectly, with juice provided by the car's battery.
Hit the jump to view the video for yourself. It's not NBC quality (that could be a good thing), but we think you'll agree that KITT lighting looks good in blue.

Credit? Credit for what? Spending $25 in a JC Whitney Catalog, and spending 30 minutes to install something this lame in your brand new penis extension mobile? I wouldn't want credit for that either. This is just lame.

No credit needed. A blue light on the wrong car. Two wrongs don't make it bright...
viper GTS-R 8:09PM (6/22/2009)
but he bought a red Camaro....*sigh*
It may not be a black car with a red light but at least my buddy Dave, his Charger is matching...

Man, I just ordered the blue lights for my 2010 Camaro 2SS. Solid black, white rally stripes. Should be awesome. (And to the broad with the penis extension comment; dont be jealous.)

You're joking, right?
It bears no resemblance to Knight Rider, but it looks exactly like the GT Nighthawk from Burnout Paradise. Blue LEDs and everything. Except the car should be black...

I didn't even know people still rice out cars these days.

How is that rice? It's not like people think it makes the car go faster. I think it looks pretty cool besides it not being red. Someone needs to do that to a black G8 GXP.

Of course, Michael would control the car with his iPhone

Well, having grown up watching the original series I guess I'll be the lone voice here thinking it's at least slightly cool. Sure, it should have been a black car with a red scanner but at least he went for it. I'm annoyed at all these people dogging on it but then I realize it's the Internet and everyone (but me, of course) is an idiot.

I'm with you on it, I like it. Obviously he doesn't drive around with it like that, it's just something cheesy and cool too turn on every once in a while.
Clavius 9:07PM (6/22/2009)
Sorry its not black hence it fails! Be different if the guy had it black and has done the interior done up to a "modern" K.I.T.T. car but alas its nothing but a rice job on a American make car.

2 minutes of the blue LED going back and forth!! After 20 seconds, the novelty wore off.
