Product Placement Alert: Aprilia RS125 featured in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

As you'd expect in the runup to one of this summer's most widely-anticipated movies, product placement announcements are rolling in fast and furious ahead of the June 24th launch of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Included amongst the obviously large number of vehicles from General Motors will be an Aprilia RS125, a bike we happen to be rather fond of. In fact, seeing this machine once again reminds us how much we'd love to see the Italian motorcycle maker wrap a similar package around the excellent V-twin powerplant in its RXV and SXV line of bikes.
Oh, and it's also an excuse to run these two images of Megan Fox. In leathers – all in the name of safety, we're sure. Two questions... where's her helmet, and what's up with Shia

Face it, she's the next Angelina.
Incidentally, she was picked to be Lara Croft in Tombraider 3 but turned it down.

I don't get it. She's not much better than a lot of what's out there.
Seriously, not that great.

Small sagging boobs, they don't do the trick for me.

Plus, if I wanted a girl that looks slutty I'd pick a pornstar.

I don't know what she did, but I think she visited the doctor for all the wrong reasons.

Why in god's name would anybody call a Transformers movie "one of the most widely anticipated movies of the year," or whatever the wording was? I've never seen one, nobody I know has ever seen one, and as far as I know a transformer is that big can up on the phone pole that converts line voltage to the 220v it feeds my house.

Because many of us have seen the first transformers, loved transformers while we were growing up, and love the idea of giant kick ass robuts that can transform into bad ass cars, planes and other objects. BTW it probably is THE most anticipated movie of 2010. Just because YOU and the people YOU know aren't interested, has no reflection whatsoever of the masses. Life must be rough in gloomsville.

Yeah the last one was pretty entertaining, and this one is suppose to be much better. More robot bashing action was the word on the street.
Chet 11:27PM (6/13/2009)
Because it IS. You and your friends' approval or even awareness is not required for something to be huge in pop culture.

"While you were growing up"? Not sure that's happened yet.

Yeah... I dont think that's an engine, it's a lawnmower.
phunkysoul 12:33AM (6/14/2009)
Had a 1997 RS125. At idle it truly sounded a bit like a lawnmower. but a high RPM it sounded really mean... and it was a bliss to ride.

So i'm guessing in the second transformers...money ain't a thing.

Lebouf's faux machisimo is hard to accept after seeing him for so many years with oversized flower print shirts and a jewfro on that Disney show, but then again, he's straddling Megan Fox, and I'm commenting on an auto enthusiast forum. Gah!
