Apparently, even the Man of Steel wants to save on gas by purchasing a hybrid car. According to a set of pictures snapped by Danny Choo at a shopping mall in Yokosuka, Toyota is using Superman as a spokesperson of sorts to shill their latest 2010 Prius hybrid hatchback in its home market of Japan.
Click past the break to watch the commercial in its entirety, where you'll witness Clark Kent taking direction from his boss at the Daily Planet, Perry White, to go get a scoop on the newly-released 2010 Toyota Prius. Of course, a presto-chango switch into Superman garb allows Kent to report back with an impossible shot from overhead that shows the hybrid's inner workings. Must not have any lead in the hood, huh?
