Event Alert: Nürburgring 24 is now streaming live

The Nürburgring 24 kicked off a short time ago, and as was the case last year, you can watch it streaming live (in German) at the official Nürburgring 24 site. RadioLeMans.com is providing live audio in English. Just head over there and click the "Listen Live" button in the upper left corner. Then, if you're us, you'll turn off the volume on the German video stream and listen to the RadioLeMans.com audio, since they're calling it off the same video feed. Good stuff.

Slow stream so it looks like a slideshow with german announcers going off about something or another. However, I did get to see a tire fly off what looked like an RX-7 but wasn't. he drove a good hundred feet with 3 wheels and the brembos scraping.

EDIt - it was the 108 Zerich car. they just had it up again, replacing the brakes and the tire/wheel that flew off.

With so many channels on cable and satellite, why can't we watch this race on TV? Every silly hillbilly race gets detailed coverage, but REAL sports cars on a REAL track, with hills, right turns and stuff, and we have to put up with streaming.

Yea I need to reinstall it because I realize that it hasn't worked for a while... I have a few things installed that attempt to handle window media things all at the same time. I need to clean this up. Thanks for that.

Works here, I use flip4mac with firefox. As for the audio i opened the stream ( http://raceradio.octopusmt.com/ ) with VLC

Thanks for the heads up.
The video stream is crap, however. I have to constantly refresh it to keep the stream current, otherwise it would finish 12 hours behind the race with all of the buffering it does.
