Reviews of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage are beginning to pop up around the interwebs and Aston decided to hype up the first drives by releasing an additional 20 photos of its new 510-hp GT through... Facebook. The real-world shots show a few more details of the hopped-up Vantage, including the racy carbon fiber hood vents, suede-lined seats and a eye-catching blood-red interior. Unfortunately, the V12 Vantage isn't headed Stateside, but rest assured, our non-essential organs are finding their way onto Craigslist for an opportunity to drive the new sports coupe abroad. Until that happens, check the gallery below for plenty of beauty shots.

"Aston gets social, releases 20 new pics of V8 Vantage on Facebook"
So the V8 now shares a hood with the V12 even though it doesn't need extra cooling?

Thanks guys. We're a bit understaffed and I'm undercaffeinated. Triple espresso on the way.

Hah, I know how you feel.
On a side note, you'd think a company like Aston Martin could afford to post some higher res. images, even on Facebook. *shrug*

Jeez, Aston sure is milking that body design for as long as possible.

they r "milking" it because it rocks.... very good looking and very aerodynamically sound

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
That is one of the sexiest front engined cars EVER, let alone currently built. Why would you mess with that, until sure that there is something unequivocally better on deck?
That red one is really drool-worthy, as I like darker, richer colors than the pale blue.
But please, make mine in scottish Ecurie Ecosse blue with titanium white details, and Prodrive Vantage handling kit and wheels. (heck, I'd take a V8 Vantage in that configuration with never a complaint whatsoever... but the V12 bodywork is that much nicer, and added power is not a bad thing at all.)

That hood is garish. For a car that has always been about form, it reeks of a bit too much function. Maybe it would look better in person. From that picture it's ghastly.

6 liters of V12 engine kind of needs to flow air through the radiator to keep that thing below over-heat.
I think they could have been done perhaps slightly more gracefully, but this car is supposed to have a bit of a brutish race-car-for-the-street vibe,
Perhaps even if they were painted body-color to blend in a bit more...
But hood vents are a very acceptable thing for "V12 powah" under that hood.

With that hood I'll have one in black please.

Yeah totally agree. Black on black on black goodness. Mmmmmm.

I disagree.
I think all first lottery cars should be either Orange or Lime Green Lamborghini Murcielagos, complete with matching interiors, a Lamborghini jacket with a big bull on the back and a blonde Playboy playmate in the passenger seat. lol

Does the V12 growl when you poke it? (...pre-emptive "That's what she said" for my own comment.)

Put me in the camp of anti-hood vents...I know form follows function but those hood vents simply look out of place. (Not to say I wouldn't take one in my garage.)
