This week's Autoline After Hours is missing the show's traditional host, John McElroy, so instead, Autoextemist's Peter DeLorenzo will take the helm, with AAH regular and former Chrysler PR man Jason Vines. Joining the intrepid duo is
BusinessWeek's David Welch and
Car and Driver's new editor-in-chief, Eddie Alterman. Undoubtedly, there's plenty to discuss and you can join in on the fun by
making jump and posing your own questions to the AAH crew in the integrated chat window. It's all live and it begins... now.

Well, that is reason #1 not to watch it.

Anyone who missed it, actually missed out on a pretty good show.
I expected Alterman to bore me as much onscreen as he does in print, but he surprised me with a few good one-liners and some occasionally impressive insight.
Peter is one of the sharpest wits in the business, though I don't know how well he's cut out to front a show. He's the guy with far more answers than questions.
Jason Vines is absolutely electric. There is no metric by which his absence at Chrysler can be measured. They should've sent him to DC, not that $#!+head Nardelli.

JASON VINES? WAKE UP! That guy is an idiot. He doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut. He has worked at more OEMs than anyone on the face of this earth. WHY? Cause he is a fool.
Then I see McElroy walking around the auto show with some entourage all of them practically on their knees. I was practically sick watching these clowns. He thinks he knows so much.....then I try to talk to him at an event in Royal Oak last year and he blows me off. What a jackazz.
DeLorenzo has his screaming web page with his hydrogen loving BS. I don't even read his page anymore cause it is on repeat. Chrysler 3 arrows down. UAW three arrows down (ok I agree there) and so on....

Whatever. Nardelli was the ONLY one up there who looked like he knew his stuff. The other 2 looked like knuckleheads. I am not a fan of Bob but he held his own in DC. Vines would have been laughed right back on to the corporate jet.
