Driving the Dodge Circuit, now with video

Click the image above to view the video after the jump
A few weeks ago, we had the chance to step into the Dodge Circuit for a quick spin around downtown Detroit. During the course of the drive, we shot some video of our time with Chrysler's EV while getting the run-through on the Circuit's technology from John Myers, the EV's project lead and ENVI employee. The bumpy roads weren't quite long and straight enough for our liking, but we did get the chance to learn a bit more about Chrysler's EV strategy and why the automaker thinks its ENVI battery program is better than Tesla's. Hit the jump to watch the video.

Too bad they won't make this.
Too bad GM and Chrysler won't even be around in 12 months.
RIP Detroit.

GM and Chrysler will still be around in 12 months and in 12 years and beyond. GM and Chrysler as we know them today, however, thankfully, will be history.

They can not die, Obama invested so much politically, if they fail Republicans will devour him. With so much invested he will do everything to make sure they survive.

Obama gets a free ride from the media regardless of how well he does his job.

Obama's still in the honeymoon period. It's not like the media was vicious toward Bush in his first ~100 days.

Gus: "Obama's still in the honeymoon period. It's not like the media was vicious toward Bush in his first ~100 days."
Please, you must have forgotten who "stole" the election (2000), right? He was "selected, not elected", right?
And while the balance of the media may not have been vicious to Bush in his first 100 days, he didn't get a 2 year run-up honeymoon with a swooning press during the campaign and transition period, either. No "tingles up the leg" for GW. No adoring Newsweek, Time, Rolling Stoned, NBC, CBS, ABC, NPR coverage. Instead, that was all for the Obama of the day, Gore.
But thanks for trying to spin history for the rest of us.

notYou:
Whoa, are you guilty of spin...
1. Al Gore was constantly portrayed as an elitist liar (lockbox, internet, Love Story) and yer buddy W was a down-home fella you could drink a beer with.
2. The news covered the stolen election, because it was. Every respectable paper's editorial board, in Florida, has since given the 2000 vote to Gore.
3. The papers/teevee media all bent over and took it firm for years while Bush and Cheney screwed this country dry.
4. Bush spent the entire summer of 2001 in Crawford and the teevee talking heads fawned over our macho-guy-with-brush-whacker-in-Chief on his, uh, ranch...all while a few crazies from BFE were plotting...
Nice...keep defending the worst prez in History...it's very amusing!!

This is no longer a car blog, people.

NotYou - Who is it spinning? Perchance you with the following falsehood:
"2. The news covered the stolen election, because it was. Every respectable paper's editorial board, in Florida, has since given the 2000 vote to Gore."
Would you call these outlets "respectable? Associated Press, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, St. Petersburg Times, Palm Beach Post, Washington Post and the Tribune Co.
They ALL found via separate recounts Bush won. http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/when_the_votes_were_recounted_in_florida.html
Please tell me your auditioning for a place on Last Comic Standing and don't really believe the tripe you posted.

The technology is great...gotta love the instant torque of an electic motor, but aesthetically, nothing will ever replace the sound of a good old internal combustion engine.
