VIDEO: Rhys Millen drifting the Hyundai Genesis... Sedan

Cick above to view the video after the jump
Getting a Hyundai Genesis Coupe to drift is relatively easy (our man Mike can attest to that). But getting its big, four-door brother to get sideways? That's a job for Hyundai's Formula D hot-shoe Rhys Millen.
The crew from KickingTires had the chance to spend some time with both the Genesis coupe and sedan, and during the course of the event they asked Millen to take Hyundai's luxo-barge around the autocross course. The results are posted after the break, and as you'd expect, getting the Genesis sedan to slide gracefully is harder than it looks.

didnt look like it was hard to drift it, it was just the traction control killing the fun.

There is something vaguely homoerotic about two cars drifting together

It's like watching Mitt Romney trying to be 'in' with the 'peeps' singing 'Who Let The Dogs Out"
It's just weird and.. creepy.....

because a car can be drifted (sp?) makes a car somehow better and better marketable?

Yeah, I doubt Genesis sedan owners are interested in drifting or even know what that is.

I don't understand why Rhys Millen is famous!!!!
any body with few hours training can drift/rally/race.....
I don't see any talent from that person.!

Yeah, they can.
They'll just suck. A lot.

You apparently know very little about racing
marco 4:17AM (5/09/2009)
Rhys can can hit a 2" X 2" mark, 10 times in a row, with the passenger front tire, at 60mph, in a PT1 that is blocked less than 3 inches from the nozzle of a very spendy high speed cam burning more $ worth of film per take than most of us make in a day...you are being silly. watch the video again and imagine you are in the middle of the course and he is literally driving circles around you...thats probably a good analogy for you....
ur_an_idiot 6:04AM (6/25/2009)
are you serious? "a few hours training" and anyone can drift/rally? That's like saying anyone can spend a few hours at the range and become Tiger Woods. Why don't you try out for the next rally races...see why the owners are so picky...why it's nearly impossible to pick up sponsors and endorsements...why it took people in Japan almost 5 decades to perfect the art...why it's the scariest thing to do when you have a 5000 foot drop off on one side, and a mountain on the other...why driving 80-90 through mud, loose gravel, snow and ice is probably one of the most scariest experiences you can ever deal with in a moving vehicle...how the internationally recognized "Drift King" says that it's an art....not everyone can paint a Mona Lisa...not everyone can drift. Unless you've been behind a wheel at a Rally Race, or drifted in a MOUNTAIN course...keep your ignorant opinions to yourself.

I kind of want to see a drift-off of some sort between the sedan and coupe.
