Knight Rider cancelled, Alex quietly weeps with joy in corner

And with that, our long national nightmare is over. According to the Los Angeles Times' entertainment section, NBC has killed Knight Rider after one season and 17 episodes. Although we won't miss the interminably idiotic dialog, plot chasms, seventh-grade acting and logic-defying vehicle morphing, there will be a KITT-sized hole in our hearts for Mr. Nunez' weekly live-blog of the unfortunate proceedings. If you want to relive past episodes, read our review of the KR or just peruse through galleries of the new KITT (below). Otherwise, let's just forget about this embarrassing attempt at resurrection and get on with our lives.

Knight Rider?...
I'd say Knight Riddance!

A FAKE air dam? It either exists or it doesn't. An air dam is a valence/spoiler on the lip of the bumper. I think you mean a fake hood scoop.

tI was torture enough for us to have to see his weekly blog. My heart goes out to Mr. Nunez, and I hope the years of counceling that lie ahead help him put the memories to rest. NBC isn't just killing off a show here, they're saving lives.

There's always the DVD releases with bonus crap and deleted nonsense that no one cares to watch. Perhaps if they add the counseling sessions that might push sales to 17 copies worldwide!

Finally - got really tired of seeing it mentioned on AutoBlog. That show was crap in the 80s and was worse now.
With all the product placement it was pretty much only an hour long Ford commercial.
Good riddance!!

I agree. In absolute terms, it was a terrible show. But relative to the other trash on TV these days, I'd take Knight Rider any day (say, over Gossip Girl, or Private Practice, or one of the myriad of singing/dancing/looking nice competitions).
I will miss the sound of that GT500 KR though.

I too thought is was fantastic show,
Just as good if not BETTER that the original.
For those who haven't bothered to check out an episode please do.....
How dare you even comment on it if you haven't even seen it.

If the Mustang had IRS, the show would have survived.
