KITT Shelby GT500KR - Click above for high-res image gallery

And with that, our long national nightmare is over. According to the Los Angeles Times' entertainment section, NBC has killed Knight Rider after one season and 17 episodes. Although we won't miss the interminably idiotic dialog, plot chasms, seventh-grade acting and logic-defying vehicle morphing, there will be a KITT-sized hole in our hearts for Mr. Nunez' weekly live-blog of the unfortunate proceedings. If you want to relive past episodes, read our review of the KR or just peruse through galleries of the new KITT (below). Otherwise, let's just forget about this embarrassing attempt at resurrection and get on with our lives.

I know it was cheesy but that mustang was one sweet ride!!

I'd say the worst part of the show was Nunez's idiotic episode summaries.

For those who say this new Knightrider had awful acting and ridiculous stories, I have one question for you. Have you ever watched the original?
Yes I have. Plot summary for just about every episode; Kitt drives around town solving all the crimes while The Hoff gets laid. The Hoff then gets all the credit and Kitt, well he's mighty pissed off but by shear programming genius he can only hint cryptically to The Hoff about his predicament. Solid writing for an 80's TV show IMHO.

I'm so happy that the show is cancelled, such a stinker and a piece of trash and this is not much better than the reality shows, this is even worse

I'm glad this is the end of the knight rider tv franchise, The original was smooth and hot, the rest are just trash.

That show sucks soooo bad! The only thing good was the chick. The rest blows. Good Knight!

knight rider isn't canceled, official word from NBC has yet to come down. please stop assuming, and the LA Times has no official word either. check your facts.

        Knight Rider?...

        I'd say Knight Riddance!

A FAKE air dam? It either exists or it doesn't. An air dam is a valence/spoiler on the lip of the bumper. I think you mean a fake hood scoop.
for the record I never watched an episode. Not even 5 seconds of it.

cars with FAKE air dams are lame

Haters. I thought it was fun.

I too thought is was fantastic show,
Just as good if not BETTER that the original.
For those who haven't bothered to check out an episode please do.....
How dare you even comment on it if you haven't even seen it.

If the Mustang had IRS, the show would have survived.
I don't think this abomination even deserved to be called Knight Rider.
Good! Hopefully they fill the spot with Top Gear or anything someone might want to watch. They could have had a show with paint drying and many people probably would have found it more entertaining.
