How much is that Veyron in the Window? Unique Pegaso edition Bugatti for sale
It's hard to believe that Bugatti is still pumping out more special editions of its already special Veyron when owners of some of the most exclusive versions to date have been going up for sale on what seems like a daily basis. A couple of weeks ago, we reported on one of the five Pur Sang editions being put up for sale in Abu Dhabi, and our man Jared Paul Stern over at sister-site Luxist found another one a few days later. But as exclusive as the Pur Sang edition was, an even more exclusive Veyron has now popped up on the market on a Polish website.
The Pegaso edition was a one-off built for one fortunate Eastern European customer living in Dubai (where else) at the exclusive Burj al Arab complex. It was painted a special pearl white and light red metallic with a custom interior bearing the Pegaso badge in tribute to the 1950's-era Spanish coachbuilder. We guess times are tight for everyone if the owner is motivated to sell, but then again, at €1.85 ($2.45M USD), the offering party is asking for a considerable premium over the standard million-€uro price of a new model for this barber pole Bug. Hat tip to everyone!

so many exclusive Veyrons, the regular ones are becoming rarer than the special ones

Those just become the special "purist" or "original" edition.

Not exactly the sign of dire straights. If he were dumping it for "DISCOUNT PRICE OBO" it might raise an eyebrow, but given the chance to double+ my money on a car after driving it for a year or more, I'd jump at the chance too.
Probably has an even crazier one on order or something; maybe trying to snatch up one of the Lambo Reventons on the market. Hah.
Does the "1" number plate come with it? Didn't he pay a small fortune just for that?

lol well the Numberplate apparently cost's more then 10 times the car (as in a "standard" Bugatti Veyron) it self, in Emirati Dirham 's - the Ukrainian businessman paid a cool 52 Million for the # "1", when converted into American money its a little over U$D 14m, and from what I know, this particular plate has been sold to some Emirati who owns an off-white Zonda F for about the same amount.

I don't think even the Veyron can out run those ugly colors!

Is it just me or every special edition Bugatti Veyron nothing more than a paint job or other bodywork?

would you dare to mess up with that quad-turbo W16 ? Or the suspension? Or the chassis? I don´t like the 'special' edition veyron being nothing more than a paint job. but theres not very much you can/should chance.
Fooman 7:22PM (4/24/2009)
Exactly... and pretty much every Veyron is customized by the person that ordered it anyway... They are all pretty limited editions, if you ask VW to name your green and red the Mountain Dew edition, I am pretty sure they would.

Actually, someone complains about each one of those, too. At least one.

It's kind of a scam, isn't it? A special paint job and the price of the car doubles?
I'll take a Porsche GT3 instead, and just drive the hell out of it.
