This is the MG6, and it's a good looking car. As the sporty version of the Roewe 550 (another good looking car), the MG6 gets a tauter nose with new lights, a slightly more upswept swage line, and a fastback rear end.

The Roewe 550 signified a break from the heavily Rover-based design still found models like the Roewe 750, undoubtedly due to the international design team based in China and the UK. The MG6 continues the trend of independent design, not relying on being merely a tweaked copy of its sibling, or any other car for that matter. It will be debuting at the Shanghai Motor Show, and to you, Roewe and MG, we say keep up the good work.

Since you clearly aren't aware - the platform was the joint venture between MG Rover and SAIC back in 2005. Much of the engineering involved was done at MGR.

      > Sektor, you despise racists, but your comments show just as much racial hatred.

Yeah, that was over the top, but I freaking I hate Japanese trolls on the Internets.

@Big Rocket: No, he is not Korean! He is from the same country that laughed at Korea and said they could never have an automobile industry or semi-conductor industry that could rival that country. Look at them now, Samsung is world leader in electronics, beating Sony, Toshiba, etc.

Japanese people are funny. Even on the Internet they don't reveal themselves, but instead pretending to be something else to bash on China or Korea. Good job!

"BTW, the car design (only design) looks not bad for a Chinese thing, though it's stolen from the Korean/British automakers"

LOL, Could you tell me from which Korean automaker it's stolen, even today some Korean cars e.g. Hyundai Genesis sedan are less original than many of Chinese cars, not to mention what was 10 years ago.

It's similar though to British Rover and that's becouse the Chinese bought Rover and based their designs on it.

That's basically a MG Rover car, since the takeover they've been sucking its technology and left it empty like they tried to do with Ssangyong.
No it isn't. It's based on the Roewe 550, which is the production version of the stillborn Rover RDX 60 project - a joint venture between MG Rover and SAIC which was at an advanced stage when MGR folded.

you know what, without Chinese, " the least creative people", you would not have the paper that you are using everyday.

Yet another Chinese deathtrap ridden with toxic materials (melamine, lead, mercury, and other hazardous crap)

Tsk... Tsk... Tsk... You get what you pay for... ICC(Inferior Chinese Crap)

BTW, the car design (only design) looks not bad for a Chinese thing, though it's stolen from the Korean/British automakers; remember Chinese are the least creative people among all the Asians... ;P

Chinese = Afros of Asia = Huge Population Yet With Less Brains."

genepro03, Why are you providing link about supposedly copied Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento by some Chinese manufacturer, I want you to show me of which Korean car is this Roewe MG6 copy, like you claimed above, becouse I disagree with that statement.

BTW, you're saying that the Chinese copied Kia Sorento, look from where Kia took their "inspiration" for design of Kia Sorento:

M-class from Korea, like Autobild named Kia Sorento:
