SEAT sketches out Ibiza ST concept

The Ibiza ST is going to be the third body style in the Ibiza line, a tiny wagon -- or "supermini estate" in UK parlance -- that will go on sale next year. SEAT has been in the segment before with its Cordoba Vario from 1998. Currently, the segment is dominated by capable-but-not-exactly-exciting models like the Renault Clio Sport Tourer, Nissan Note Accenta, and Peugeot 207 SW. SEAT wants the ST to earn looks for its compelling design, the leadership of which is being headed by Murcielago stylist Luc Donckerwolke. In addition to being the next refinement of SEAT's Arrow Design language, the car is expected to have new engines not currently seen in the Ibiza line.

Seeing as SEAT is a branch of VW, that would be logical. A lot of sometime Audi designers often work at SEAT anyway.

If this sketch was a future GM car: "GM products is terrible. My uncle's grandma's boss's nephew had a GM which fell apart before he took delivery at the dealership"
If this sketch was a future Hyundai: "Stunning. Will most likely $10,000, have RWD, weigh 200 pounds and beat a M6."

I am willing to give domestics a second chance the next time I buy a car. That is, if they are still around when that happens.

Wow, that lightning bolt on the side of the car is going to give the new Buick LaCrosse a run for its money.

Not going to happen (fortunately).

Why fortunately? Other than Exeo, the new SEATs don't look bad.

Awesome, name a car after an Island where people go to binge drink and dance in foam. Might as well call it the Jersey Shore GT.

The first Ibiza was built 1984, back then Ibiza was just a normal island of the Balearic. Besides, since then all SEAT cars, except the Exeo now, were named after spanish cities.
Malaga, Marbella, Ibiza, Toledo, Leon, Altea, Alhambra, Arosa, Inca, Cordoba.
