Chris, Dan, and Sam got together for Episode #122 of the Autoblog Podcast, and no politics were harmed in the making of this installment. Of course, it was mostly a lead-up to the New York Auto show, so we discussed what's ready to debut in Manhattan. GMC's Terrain gets some attention, as do the M versions of BMW's X5 and X6. We also take the time to answer a few questions and address a concern or two before wrapping it up. See you next week after New York, where we're sure to pick up plenty of talking points. Thanks for listening, and as always, drop us a line at podcast at autoblog dot com, and hit our Twitter feed, too.

the problem I have w/ CR and their 'subscription' based reseach, is the fact that if all the Toyotas and Honda's win these supposed comparisons, and all their subscribers buy them, how do they get the data from the other marques? If a chevrolet or ford is not reccomended, why would their subscribers buy it, and how would CR get data? CR got away w/ this snafu IMO because I actually had this discussion w/ a co-worker this past week and he had no clue that CR had done this blind recomendation w/ Toyota, and always uses their guides to purchase goods be it autos' electronics etc, so they won in my opinion because either it did not get press, or the public forgave them you pick. As far as your comment about people acknowledging, or "...Get That" the 'red vs black' dots they use as ratings, as only for predicted reliabilty, not for consumer reports actually liking the car, I disagree, I would argue that people will glance at the results based on color and purchase accordingly, and I bet some manufacturers and dealerships market that.. I really don't think the casual 'supermarket magazine stand reader' will ever realize the actuals. Sorry for my rant. Anyway's keep up the good work, love the downloads.
