Winning Bet: Davey G. Johnson gets a Fiesta, we don't

The Fiesta Movement winners are officially being notified, and we have news of a bloggy nature. Our compadre, Davey G. Johnson, the former Jalop and strong aficionado of brown cars, is among the group who will be rolling in a Ford Fiesta for six months. The bad news, according to Davey: his Fiesta won't be brown. Oh well, can't win 'em all. But win he did, nonetheless. Congratulations! We'll have to send someone from Autoblog California Command for a closer look once he takes possession since it appears our own submission from AutoblogGreen lifer Sebastian Blanco wasn't among the favored. Davey's winning Fiesta Movement video, "Baby Bets on a Brown Fiesta," is embedded after the jump for your enjoyment.

Congrats to Davey G. Johnson! Whether or not you enjoyed the video, you have to admire the time, effort, and creativity that went into putting it together. Looks like it paid off and it would be great if an extended-term review surfaced on Autoblog or Jalopnik as a result of his win.

This is like those cologne commercials that have NOTHING to do with the product, but in the end say Aqua Diquor or w/e.

Its kind of lame that Ford has picked automotive professionals. I understand that from their view point these people will probably do the best in trumpeting their new car, but if that was your intention why not just give the car to 100 car writers like you do every other vehicle?
i dunno, maybe i'm just bitter because my lame entry wasn't selected.

What may I ask did that have to do with the Ford Fiesta? Just another narcissist blowing his own horn. The whole video was just film clips. This is just a complete slap in the face to people who made their own videos and actually like the car. If this is what Ford wants to market their car then they don't want my business.
