Click above for a high-res gallery of the SSC Ultimate Aero Twin-Turbo

You've always had the opportunity to buy the world's fastest car, but now you can buy THE world's fastest car. The actual SSC Ultimate Aero TT that set the Guinness-certified top speed record for a production car is up for auction on eBay with your name on it. The 2007 model comes with Palladium paint and black Alcantara interior, nav system, 10-speaker audio/DVD system, back-up camera, and power everything. Oh, did we mention the 1183 horsepower twin-turbo V8 mounted behind the seats?

Sure, the 2009 model has 100+ more horsepower and a theoretical top speed of 270 mph, but that's yet to be verified, making this very 2007 model still the world's fastest production car. At just over $150,000 the reserve has not yet been met, but the minimum bid is surely quite a bit less than the base price of a Bugatti Veyron or Koenigsegg CCX.

Look how offset the pedals are.

It is hilarious to see how llamerishly misguded most of the comments about this car's looks are. (Teenagers?) This car's exterior design is rather obviously borrowing from Acura NSX. No doubt, this is exactly what it is inspired by. This is a major plus, BTW, indicating that its creators knew what they were doing.

I could only imagine the amount of force that pushes you from behind when you mash the throttle......
I think you might be doing it wrong if you're feeling a lot of force pushing on your behind.

Although it offers amazing performance, this car lacks the exterior appeal that I like in supercars. I have never seen one in real life so my comment might not be 100% accurate.

Hmmmm, they guy who built this thing must be a wine-o. A few of those pics are in front of Hedges Winery on Red Mountain out side of the Tri-Cities, WA. Good wine, especially the CMS.

Too bad, every second person you meet is going to ask "what kind of kit-car is that?".

270mph? - Big deal. It's a number...I'd never use it. I'd rather buy a Ferrari and enjoy the credibility.
