Click above for more images of the 2010 Camaro at the factory

I saw a totally badass black Camaro SS with a silver racing stripe on I-696 on the way home from work yesterday. When I hit I-94, I saw two more, and they were driving side by side. I thought I'd stumbled upon a cornucopia of Camaros, but I wasn't even close to the mother lode that a Camaro5 reader found. Sitting at the Oshawa car plant in Canada is a lot full of hot and ready Camaros. They're all red, yellow, silver, or black, and they all look ready for the showroom floor. Has production already begun for the highly anticipated (and long awaited) Chevy Camaro? No official word from GM yet, but it sure looks like it. Thanks for the tip, Andy and Jamie! Also, thanks to Elvisuperman for the photos.

      "Has production started?"

Well, let's see: A parking lot full of Camaros with window stickers and shipping tape on the bumpers...my guess is yes, production has started.

Ya, he'll probably give you a calculator going in and say times everything by 1.14, that's the market adjustment conversion factor :)

Yup, it's started, my boss has an SS on preorder, his dealer sent him a pic of his (not sure if it was at port or off production in a holding lot).

But according to my local dealer those window stickers won't be right. Expect about 4k tacked onto the msrp apparently.

The 60s are coming back. Let me go buy my leather jacket, a lot of hair gel and and very dark sun glasses, hell yeah. I think new muscle cars in general should create its own club. The challenger, the charger, the Camaro, the Mustang, the corvette and hopefully the Trans am. I wouldn't mind having either one with the exception of the charger.

        Sorry,
The Vette isnt a muscle car. At least in the last 3 generations.
It's a sports car. There's a difference. It's in handling refinement, track times, coefficient of drag etc.

It's one of the ugliest cars that I've ever seen. It looks as antiquated as the balding 40yr olds that are going to buy this.

I hope its performance isn't as stiff as it looks.

I would love to have a black SS. This could really help Chevy the way the Mustang helped Ford.

I saw a camaro here in downtown toronto way back in december. You guys are late.

      Only in Canada, eh?

I actually really like the way that the white tape looks in the front of the car above the headlights. Maybe the headlights should look like that instead.

I passed one on Quarton Rd. yesterday; I didn't get a good look at it but I don't think it had an M-plate on it. Could have been an exec lease.

the word cornucopia is not used enough....

so that's what GM planson doing with the bailout money : building useless gas guzzling cars of another era???
        behold, experts r comming
With the Camaro SS starting at $30,995 and the SRT8 Challenger starting at $44,345 with mandatory gas guzzler tax, this isn't going to help languishing SRT8 Challenger sales.
