Lot o' Camaros - Has production started?

I saw a totally badass black Camaro SS with a silver racing stripe on I-696 on the way home from work yesterday. When I hit I-94, I saw two more, and they were driving side by side. I thought I'd stumbled upon a cornucopia of Camaros, but I wasn't even close to the mother lode that a Camaro5 reader found. Sitting at the Oshawa car plant in Canada is a lot full of hot and ready Camaros. They're all red, yellow, silver, or black, and they all look ready for the showroom floor. Has production already begun for the highly anticipated (and long awaited) Chevy Camaro? No official word from GM yet, but it sure looks like it. Thanks for the tip, Andy and Jamie! Another lame comment from Sea Urchin. It's not like we are talkin' about the Trans-Am here. Mullets, mohawks, even people with no hair all look good in a Camaro! Buy one buy one!

A friend of mine called me up a few weeks back and asked me if they were buildign the new Camaros yet. Said he saw one around town that day.
I think beyond them already being built, it seems some are already in the hands of owners.

Well, let's see: A parking lot full of Camaros with window stickers and shipping tape on the bumpers...my guess is yes, production has started.

But according to my local dealer those window stickers won't be right. Expect about 4k tacked onto the msrp apparently.

Ya, he'll probably give you a calculator going in and say times everything by 1.14, that's the market adjustment conversion factor :)

Yup, it's started, my boss has an SS on preorder, his dealer sent him a pic of his (not sure if it was at port or off production in a holding lot).

Used to be that mullets drove camaros. Now it's mostly women. It's become a girl's car since the mid-80s.
