Citroen GT making jump from video game to production car?

Autocar has it on good authority – by that we mean Citroen's product chief Vincent Besson – that the GTbyCitroen concept unveiled at last year's Paris Motor Show and later made available as a playable car in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be headed to production. Besson says that the GT's popularity made the automaker ponder its viability as an actual product and now it's considering a limited run of up to 20 units. While he was tight-lipped on specs (probably because none of have been nailed down yet), Besson did intimate that the production GT would ditch its fictional hydrogen fuel cells for a V8 that could come from General Motors or Ford. We think the supercharged 5.4-liter that powered the Ford GT would do nicely; after all, they do share the same name.

I have it unlocked in GT5P, and I like to think of it as a pancake UFO. I'd imagine owning one would be an acquired taste...

I think this car would be this coolest looking car in the history of the world as we know it if they get rid of that damn fish tail!

The fishtail is heinous. It is like they need to flip the rear-end upside down but leave the diffuser where its at.

I drove this in GT5P, and, um... it's crazy.
Looks fantastic, though.

i still feel the infiniti essence is possibly the most mind blowing GT car i have seen so far.
that car is truly demonstrats how a concise design can be beautiful. this Citroen GT is exacutally the opposit. it adds style for the sack of adding style. but i having trouble finding beauty in this design.
just my 2 cents

looks cool.. why is there a GT5P wtf is that? GT5 isn't even coming out for another year. I guess sony just likes to blow its load prematurely which is not uncommon for the region >: o

"for a V8 that could come from General Motors or Ford. We think the supercharged 5.4L that powered the Ford GT would do nicely; after all, they do share the same name."
Well... there's that... and the fact that both are currently powered by blown Ford V8s.
