Gemballa unveils Mirage GT Carbon Edition
Production of Porsche's Carrera GT may have ended a few years ago, but that doesn't mean tuners have stopped playing around with them. Techart, 9ff, and edo competition have all come out with different versions of Porsche's ultimate supercar, but Gemballa's Mirage GT is perhaps the most well known due to its aggressive bodywork and variety of colors and finishes.
The tuner's latest version is dubbed "Mirage GT Carbon Edition," and though details are in short supply, we're guessing that the package involves plenty of carbon fiber to go along with the two-tone Pearl White and Black paint. Gemballa does provide performance specs for the car, which includes an upgrade to 670 horsepower, 0-100 km/h (62 miles-per-hour) in just 3.7 seconds, 0-200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.7 seconds, and a top speed of 208 mph. We're hoping the Carbon Edition will make an appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in just a few days, and if it does, we will be sure to bring you plenty of pictures and any additional info.

It would be elegant if it weren't so man colors (GET RID OF THE RED) but otherwise, it looks quite nice especially at the 3/4's view.

...and why did Porsche stop making these in the first place?

Here is the reason.
Great car, but they made them like the US makes 20 dollar bills!
"more than 1,270 Carrera GTs have been sold since its introduction in late 2003 with around half that finding homes in North America. This figure represents a greater number than the total production of the McLaren F1, Ferrari Enzo, and Pagani Zonda models combined."

According to wiki...
"Originally a production run of 1,500 cars was planned. But Porsche announced in August, 2005 that it would not continue production of the Carrera GT through 2006, citing discontinuation was due to changing airbag regulations in the US. As of May 6, 2006[update], 1,270 GT's had been manufactured, with 604 being sold in the United States"

Those sideskirts are garbage. I don't think the wheels suit the car, either.

a lotta ppl are rly picky..haha porsches have been undergoing "mustang syndrome" way before it hit the mustang...but seriously just another model variation but I cant believe people waste time posting how boring this post is...
--now for something relevant...i always thought the mirage was well over 670hp...for some reason i was thinking that they had achieved somewhere in the 700-1000hprange.

Wow yea me too. I looked it up to make sure that wasn't just this Mirage, but apparently it's the same for every other one. In that case, screw this I wouldn't pay that much extra for basically a body kit and .1 seconds shaved off my 0-60 time

yeah..but what's an oil change cost?
