F10 BMW 5 Series pokes its nose out on web
Back in December, we got a dismembered preview of the 2010 BMW 5 series' new fascia, complete with a restyled air dam and more sculpted headlamps inspired by the new Z4 and 7 series. The supposedly leaked image above fills in the rest of the details of the upright nosejob, along with a set of LED indicators nestled into the air dam and a revised hood that includes an ovoid character line leading from the roundel to the windshield.
We're not quite convinced of the legitimacy of the image, particularly with the unveiling of the BMW Concept 5 series GT just a few days earlier, but if this is any indication of what's to come, we like what we see so far. Thanks for the tip, Steve!

Waiter, there's some Pontiac in my BMW. It seems that the bangle-ized designs of earlier in the decade have scared BMW away from doing anything a little risky. Too bad, really; Audi's just look nicer and nicer with every BMW iteration.

I'm tired of these angry/mean looking faces. It's not original, and hasn't been for a very long time. At least Mazda has happy faces.
In today's economic climate, instead of mean/angry faces, let's have a beggar's face on our cars.

When is this new 5-series coming out? A buddy of mine was looking at buying a 535xi, but if this is coming out sometime this year I might as well tell him to wait so he can at least decide whether he wants the old model or the new model.
