Chicago 2009: Top 25 desktop wallpapers from the windy city
The lack of press conferences on our second day in Chicago gave us some time to wander around and take photos of all the cars nicely set up on the floor. As expected, there weren't nearly as many debuts as Detroit or L.A., but still plenty of cars that are desktop-worthy. There were the Autobots from the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen including Skids, Mudflap, Bumblebee in both auto and bot forms, plus the new Stingray Concept. From Ford there is the Taurus SHO and Harley Davidson F-150, and Hyundai brought out a trio of Genesis Coupes including the Red Bull-sponsored drift car and the track-oriented R-Spec version. Other highlights included the twentieth anniversary of the Miata, the Nissan Cube, Acura TSX V6, Kia Forte, and the Nissan Cube. Check out the gallery below for your favorite wallpaper, all available in 1920x1275 resolution (just click the high-res button).

Not the most exciting car show ever but KUDOS to the car-makers for still putting on a show inspite of the challenges.

I agree with MazdaFTW that it is not that exciting, but I would still like to make it this year.

Really? That's it? I expected something more from the automakers. A Scion tC RS, Acura TSX V6, and some Autobots? GMC usually brings SOMETHING to Chicago, I expected the Terrain or an Acadia Denali...something. I don't get why some automakers pull out of NAIAS but stay in for this.

Do the tires on the volt look flat to anybody else?

Um, so 7 of the top 25 cars at the Chicago Auto Show are from the Transformers movie?! Fail.

At least they tried to make better displays than they did in Detroit. Kudos to them.

Great set of shots. I'm curious, what camera and lens were used for these?

It's time for these writers to give the American Auto Makers , GM, Ford, & Chrysler, some great press on their cars! These writers probably by 90% drive foreign cars! In order to survive this economy Americans have to start buying American whenever possible to keep the profits in our country! Wake up America!

This show is kind of a disappointment...don't get me wrong, there were some great cars unvieled. Its just that there isn't the shock and surprise anymore....Automakers don't surprise the public with unveiling a car they weren't planning on (i.e. Dodge unveiled the '03 Viper at a press conference that was intended for the 2002 Ram...that was cool)
