Spy Shots: Mercedes S-Class AMG spotted
As we've already reported, the Mercedes S-Class is about to get a facelift, so it should come as no surprise that AMG versions of the new bahnstormer are starting to show up on the road.As with the garden-variety S, the AMG version gets a neat nip-and-tuck treatment, and adds a hint of Audi-inspired freshness via some LED-rimmed headlamps. Compared to the 2010 S-Class, the AMG model sports a more aggressive front fascia with a deeper chin spoiler, larger air inlets and additional gills. Shaplier side sills and a sculpted rear valance round out the rest of the noticeable changes, along with a set of quad oval exhaust tips and a prominent AMG badge on the decklid. Unfortunately, there are no interior shots to see if the new SPLITVIEW system will make it into the sportiest of big Benzes.
While the new S-Class might be shown at the Geneva Motor Show, it won't arrive in showrooms until mid-2009 as a 2010 model. And there's no word on how much longer we'll have to wait to get an official glimpse of the AMG-fettled model.

That front fender/wing is taken directly from a Mazda or did they got access to the moulding?

It's a pretty nice facelift. I especially like the LEDs on the headlights.
Talk about progress, though: Mercedes-Benz is copying from Audi? What has the world come to?

OH HAPPY DAYS !!!
But I don't want this one. I want the 2012 S-class.
And when you spend alot of time sitting in traffic, You don't need 500HP.

Why even put camo on it? Just let it drive around uncovered.
You can BARELY see the difference, and what little difference you see is very subtle.

WTF is up with the Ford/Sabb painted frame on the headlights?! Ack, that's hideous. I'm not a fan of their sweeping lines and pointed corners, looks odd.
AB- Anyway to link the freaking pics to the freaking pics and not this post page? I keep clicking to photo expecting to see a large photo and it just refreshes the page and I have to search the article for the link to the larger pic. You never leave an obvious link up top or near the photo, it's always at the bottom read more link. ~end rant

Am I the only one that thinks Mercedes make some of the ugliest luxury cars on the planet? Right along side BMW? Dear god, why do people pay for these ugly things. Granted, they're technilogical marvels... but hell, can they please not make them so fugly?

After driven the best luxury high end cars I Love the S Class above all. I went to you tube caught the videos and zlove the 2010 Upgrades and ready to buy a S550 and S63 AMG as soon as they are released
