First Bentley Zagato GTZ available at $1.7M

There will be nine examples of the Bentley Zagato GTZ manufactured for discerning plutocrats. As of now, one of them is ready for an owner, and it is for sale on JamesList.com from a broker in Villorba, Italy for €1.3 million, or about $1.7 million USD. Purportedly the only one ready for delivery, this particular GTZ has just 10k (6.1 miles) on its odometer.
Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last March, the GTZ leaves the engineered perfection of the Bentley Continental GT as is, merely clothing it in a Zagato treatment consisting of two-tone coachwork, a twin-bubble roof that glides into a sculpted rear window, and more added creases you could shake a Picasso at.

Fugly !!!!! And they want 1.7 millions for THAT ??
Not only does the standard Bentley looks a lot better, but there's not enough there to make it worth that much. Look at the Veyron...that is worth its money.

Zagato is an Italian design company that has a history of modifying Alfas, Astons, Fiats, Ferraris etc going all the way back to the 1920s.
Unlike your West Coast Customs modified Bentley with pink flames this Zagato Bentley actually has value added with a name like Zagato attached to it.
It's two bad Autoblog doesn't distinguish between classic design houses with real historical significance and your run of the mill custom shop build.

Let me process that check for you...oh wait, seems the recession has already cleared that check for you. How should we bill you the $60 NSF fee? Another loan on top of your mortgage?...thanks Freddoe Mac.

This is ridiculous... having to pay almost 10X as much for having someone destroy the otherwise beautiful looks of "regular" Bentley Continentals.
Most of these will probably end up in the UAE... and at least one of them in Brunei.

not to quibble but 10 kilometers is 6.2 miles

Yeah, the front of this thing is fugly as all get out, for 1.7 million it should look better, much better. Needless to say they'll sell like GM stock on quarter earnings day.

While the googley-eyed, beaver-toothed nose isn't my cup of tea, everything else about this car is absolutely stunning. It makes the designed-by-the-guy-who-did-the-New-Beetle Continental GT look so much more special.
The paint, the roof, the tail. I love it.

Nice job - a TVR ass on a Bentley. Just like Mike Tyson's ass would look good on Megan Fox.

The price is so high because this car will be very rare and of course it will be a future classic unlike the thousands of regular Continentals....
