VIDEO - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer released ahead of Super Bowl

It's hard to tell what's going on in this first trailer for the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen sequel that will air tonight during the Super Bowl, but there are more psychotic Decepticons amped up for a rematch, lots of Autobots getting their mechanical asses kicked, and anything that can be blown up gets blown up. It's everything you'd expect in Michael Bay film... plus Megan Fox. This quite possibly is even less informative than the first Transformer movie's first trailer- the one with the footage from Mars. What crackjob marketing firm do they hire for these things?

A very good one obviously.
I'm in the movie industry and that kind of marketing is here to stay, it's what sells movies right now.

I don't think its a very good one. That type of marketing has kept me out of theaters for over 2 years now. The trailer is supposed to give you an idea of what the movie is like and trailers like that make me rent the movie from Netflix, then if I really like the movie I will buy it. Most of the time, I don't.
Another great idea from the movie industry. Ranks up there with the MPAA, DRM, and their horrible prices.

The title is self-explanatory. Revenge of the Fallen. hmmm I wonder what it's going to be about.

definately what sells but too often ive fallen for these newer ads....they tend to pile all the action into the trailer so when i get there ive seen all the best scenes lol...but im sure there is plenty of action to go around in this transformers sequel.

This trailer makes me want to see the movie... Say what you will, but that action packed trailer with glimpses of huge robots fighting each other leaves wanting more.

No, it makes perfect sense for there to be a third one.
Movie 1: setup + introduction of the protagonists (autobots)
Movie 2: rise of the fallen => decepticons amass their forces, leading up to a larger battle
Movie 3: autobots and decepticons duke it out once and for all, for a fight to end all fights, etc. This is where the all out war comes in.

All out war looses the essence of what the Transformers is about and becomes a war of the worlds meets terminator/matrix.... It just becomes robots fighting robots fighting people, and they are doing it in wide open for everyone to see...

It's only one of the Constructicons...which makes me wonder just how tall Devastator will be.

Devastator was killed along with Bonecrusher in the first film.. Devastator should of really have be Brawl.. still, looks like they'll be having to rename the huge Constructicon..
