Lamborghini Reventon up for sale in Silicon Valley

Even with a limited run of 20, a seven-figure price tag and ten making to the United States, you can bet there were more people who wanted to get their hands on a Lamborghini Reventon than there were examples on the market. However, one man's loss will be another man's gain, and a Reventon has just popped up for sale in California.
For those who've forgotten already, the Reventon was a special rebodied version of Lamborghini's flagship Murcielago supercar. It was named after a famous matador-killing fighting bull, painted any color the customer wanted (as long as it was grey – Grigio Reventon to be specific), treated to the very best the company had to offer and slapped with such a mark-up it'd leave a handprint on your face. But even with such a gargantuan sticker price, buyers knew it was bound to become an instant collectors' item. Case in point: this example, originally purchased eight months ago in St. Louis, has only 73 miles on the odometer, which we think is criminal. Let's hope someone buys it and drives it like it's meant to be driven.

If you want to drive a car, get a LP640. Even if I had one I'd drive sparingly, this is just way too precious.

And he parks it on the street?

That's what I was saying!! Drives the damn thing only 73 miles total, but then parks it on the street for some joker to hit all willy-nilly!!

Those pics look photo shopped to me for some reason...

It is parked on the street for the photos. The dealership is 10 yards away. This was on eBay a few months ago but didn't sell. I cruised by the dealership to sneak a peek at this car, but it wasn't on display.
Please let me know if it's in the showroom now! I'll definitely stop by for a looky.

This looks real - not a Fiero or Cougar replica. =]

I love Lambo, but 1.5 million is simply well beyond ridiculous for any car, even if you can afford it. Nothing about this car is worth 1.5. Dallas Lambo has on they have been trying to sell on Ebay 2 or 3 times now. Seems they can't get rid of all 20.

This is art - overpriced, but art all the same.
If you want to beat the snot out of an LP640, buy a stock one and flog mercilessly. Patrons of the arts everywhere will thank you.

When a Drophead is your 'cheap enough to list the price' car, you know that you're shopping at a whole different level.

I can understand keeping the mileage low on a car as rare as this, but seriously, 73 miles? I would have at least put on a few hundred. How much can you really appreciate a car after only 73 miles?

Either it's a lemon or the owner just went bust on the credit crunch. Either way it's good news to rest of lambo fans who were snubbed by lamborghini. I think at 1.5m it's a bargain since there's only 20 and it's a piece of art. I bet Ralph Lauren owns one.

I'm in Santa Rosa- like 3 hours from there...
I guess I could swing over there, as an innocent buyer. No I didn't come here to hotwire the Lambo at all.....
