GM postpones Cadillac CTS Coupe until Summer, 2010

The launch of the Cadillac CTS Coupe, which was supposed to be shown at last year's LA Auto Show, has been pushed back to the summer of 2010. Cadillac's director of communications cited "changes to the overall portfolio" as the reason, which is understandable, but doesn't make us any less happy about having to wait. The CTS Wagon is still on schedule for this spring, as is the SRX for this summer. When the CTS Coupe does arrive, it could either be a 2010 or 2011 model.

Won't it get stale by then?

Hmm, I don't know about you... but for me seeing a million pictures isn't the same as seeing it on the street. I rarely see the current CTS sedan, so everytime it's a ''damn, that is so nice''. And I expect the same for the Coupe, the Wagon, and even the Chevy Camaro.

The recently released to jaw-dropping praise Converj made the CTC design look stale - here's hoping it gives them time to incorporate aspects of it into the coming CTC.

Yea, the total of 15 minutes that you'll spend this year glancing at images on autoblog is bound to make the car look stale.

Can't wait for the wagon! The Magnum has been a great ride, but it's time for something a little more posh. :D

OH MY FREAKING GOD!! This is my next car! Now I have to drive my Infiniti for another freakin' year! I have been salivating over the prospect of getting a CTS Coupe for a year already!

I think the CTS coupe is Pontiac's business case for the next GTO.
So beautiful...yet can be so beastly...can't wait to see the V-series version.
I think the engineers at M-power & AMG are gasping with sighs of relief that the CTS coupe has been postponed for now.

I doubt it. This has potential but until it delivers M won't bat an eye. If Caddy was the industry leader they wouldn't be too concerned about a new product either until it showed up and endured.

GM, I still applaud your designers each time I see this car. Too bad you fired my friend that designed your headlights, though. (The previous generation DTS were his) And they canned the already-designed headlights that aim into the turn, too.
But, this is a great design.
