VIDEO: If Mad Max had been scored by Lemmy
Mad Max - Ace of Spades
My IM dinged with the following message: "Why did nobody think of this before? And if they had, how come I didn't see it until just now? " Those questions come from our buddy, Davey G. Johnson, erstwhile Jalop, extreme Jim Rockford aficionado, and all-around finder of things awesome, like the YouTube link that followed seconds later. It's now embedded above, because some things are meant to be consumed by the masses. A Mad Max clip show set to Motörhead's "Ace of Spades"? Yeah, that qualifies. Strap yourselves in for 2 minutes and 50 seconds of appropriately-scored vehicular mayhem. Consider this your Saturday morning wake-up call. Go grab a coffee and we'll see you back here at 9, when the day's normal posting schedule begins. We've also got plenty of coverage in store from our team camped at Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale auction. Should be fun. See you again in a few.

Found another copy of the clip. It's been duped several times over.

."Last of the V8 Interceptors."
What a great concept. Take all the best motorized mayhem from Mad Max and mate it with Motorhead. An epic three-minute tribute to postapocalyptic destruction

Actually there's clips from all three Mad Max movies, the original Mad Max, The Road Warrior, and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.

Chazz: Who'd win in a wrestling match, Lemmy or God?
Chris Moore: Lemmy.
[Rex imitates a game show buzzer]
Chris Moore: ... God?
Rex: Wrong, d*ckhead, trick question. Lemmy *IS* God.

I edited "Route 66" onto the chase scene at the start of Mad Max back in my mass comm college days. You have at least 2 audio tracks on VHS, so I didn't lose any dialog.

"...Consider this your Saturday morning wake-up call. Go grab a coffee and we'll see you back here at 9..."
That's exactly what I was doing when I saw this post! This makes me want to rent Mad Max. I haven't watched it in years.
Nothing like some Lemmy early in the morning! Reminds of my college days.
Thanks for the kickstart guys.

That. was. hawesome! And as appropriate as Lemmy and Co. are for scoring vehicular mayhem, the vintage of Mad Max combined with the rawness of the Oz landscape just works perfectly. Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift would not be nearly as appropriate as this. 8:23 here on the west coast, and I am now ready to begin the day. The problem is that I fear the day has hit a high point. Maybe I should just go back to bed!

Almost perfect.
But why the Hell was the chainsaw clip from Thunderdome there ?

Exactly!!! It was perfect until somebody decided to drop that Thunderdome crap in there.
Thunderdome is like the Godfather III - it never really happened.
Smegley 12:29PM (1/17/2009)
It's from the Road Warrior, one of the greatest movies ever made, and it's Max alright.
Awesome vid. Youtube blows.

Sounds good with MotorHead, the best car movies. Then again, that songs makes any action sound cool.

Jeez, some of you guys are very critical. The clips are from both Mad Max and The Road Warrior. It's about equally split between the two. there's also some brief glimpses of Thuderdome. The character's name is Mad Max, so it's all good..
