Detroit 2009: Top 25 Desktop Wallpapers
With most of the press conferences over and nearly all the debuts checked off our list, we like to do a once over of the showroom floor to try and catch many of the cars without the crowds of photographers and journalists. We've put together some of our best photos from the last two days in a mega high-res gallery created specifically to adorn your desktop. All of the photos are available in 1920x1275 (just click on the high-res button), as well as a description and a link to the full gallery if you want more pictures of the car. Enjoy!

Great pictures as always! One of these may replace the R8 GT3 image I currently use on my laptop.
Slightly off topic, but could we PLEASE get the gallery changed so the browser isn't forced to scale down the full sized images. Forcing the browser to scale down a 1600 pixel image to half the size can create distortion (firefox isn't so bad here) and painfully slow scrolling on top of wasting bandwidth on both sides (some of the "small" images are multiple megabytes). Just a minor request.

Not so minor, looks as though that's a result of the gallery reformating and the exclusion of the hi-res option (iWeb does the same thing)... I guess AB could rewrite their gallery script.
Great job with the photos guys!

If any one wants some decent wallpapers go to topgears website. There photographers have some skill.

Is it just me or did Ford get hosed on this list?
2009 F150 - Truck of the Year - Not present
2010 Taurus - Possibly the Best looking Ford sedan in the past 20 years - Not Present
2010 Lincoln MKT - Not present
I'm not whining, but it seems to me one of these should have made the list. This is like when the ZR1 didn't make the Autoblog top 50 photographs of 2008, which was an even more obvious miss.

I thought the gallery was top 25 wallpapers not 'an even smattering of cars'. When shooting at autoshows, the harsh reality is many shots simply don't come out as well as you'd hoped. Now I could be wrong, but the gallery title seems to hint that autoblog took it's Top 25 photos from the show and produced them in Desktop Wallpaper size.

Too bad there isn't a better color scheme for the Ford Shelby GT500. Ughh. I was a big fan of the Houston Oilers and I love the car, but the colors do not work here.

Weather one car or the next one should have been included on the list is really besides the point. This is the best collection of images from an auto show that AutoBlog has ever put together.
Good shots, not much in the background to distract the viewer (eg people looking at other things), good angles, very good lighting (often bad at car shows).
All together well rounded

Thank you guys for the pictures. Whenever i attend a autoshow that doors are always wide open people all around the car, plus i don't have a camera as good. The Camaro looks mean as hell as my background.

I'm a bit disappointed that Ford didn't make this list at all. I don't really care about the absence of the MKT, but the Taurus really should be on here (it is a STUNNING sedan).
