Reports of Suzuki Kizashi's demise highly exaggerated, coming to NY

Reports of the premature death of the Suzuki Kizashi are apparently... premature. After a story surfaced yesterday detailing Suzuki's cancellation of its mid-sized sedan program, the scribes at Automotive News went to the source to get the details. Suzuki spokesman Jeff Holland told AN, "The production version will debut at this year's New York auto show in April." So there. When the Kizashi concept was revealed at last year's New York show, it garnered a fair amount of praise thanks to the sedan's swooping lines and road-hugging proportions. The Kizashi has been spied doing laps around the Nurburgring and for a mainstream mid-size sedan that can't be a bad thing.

Oh yeah! Now everybody who posted yesterday that this is the one Suzuki they would consider purchasing has a chance to back it up.

Never bought into the cancellation rumor yesterday...I mean millions spent by Suzuki for development and what, suddenly all is "kaput" for the Kizashi?! Nah...
Coming from a VWAG owner, the Kizashi is included in my next ride list...this could possibly be my first 'Zuki!

i am not going to lie, i don't know about this car anymore. the concepts looked amazing and it was a car that i would buy, but now, i don't know. i still like it, i just don't know if i like it enough. making a coupe version of this would help me decide though...

I love the styling but they ripped the inside design of the taillight straight off the CX-7.

Still looks like one of the best things out of Suzuki since... well... maybe forever! Suzuki having a decent midsize sedan could really boost thier presence in the US market. Please bring it... but I'm not going to promise to buy one.

Maybe one of you guys can help me out here. In one of the major car magazines, there was a short interview with one of the guys who does this camouflage work. Does anyone remember that, and if so, remember what magazine it was?
On topic, I'm not going to say anything until I see the car sans camouflage, but it looks okay. I'm more interested in the performance, also. Suzuki has a way of surprising the market, though, so I'm definitely interested.

I want one that looks almost exactly like the concept (ala Camaro), not a Corolla. I will definitely wait until I see the whole thing/drive it, though.

Is it just me or does this spy vehicle look like a watered-down, shadow of the concept Kizashi? This looks just a little better than a Corolla.

This is a really nice looking car, Suzuki just needs to make their dealerships more accommodating, and they will do well. Next is to bring the Swift over.
For the next generation SX4, they should adopt the backlighting design of the Kizashi since the sedan looks a little goofy.
