Excessive power is just enough, right? If you abide by that rule of thumb, perhaps you'd be interested in RDP Motorsport's latest offering, which trumps the Challenger's SRT8's 6.1L Hemi and its 425 horsepower with a stroked version displacing a classic 440 cubic inches. That block is topped with a duo of superchargers that offer an astounding 1,000 horsepower. Oh yeah, it's also boosted with two nitrous kits. That's enough grunt to catapult the portly Challenger down the 1/4 mile in the nines, and if that's not fast enough for you, we suggest therapy.

This outrageous pony car was recently unveiled at the PRI Show in Florida and is definitely a bit overkill for most people's needs. So, while the Australian company will be happy to replicate this powertrain combination for you for a price, it's good to know that RDP will work with you to design pretty much whatever you need on a custom basis. Check out the video after the break for more.

Two superchargers and nitrous for 1000 hp from 440 cubes? Pitiful.

I know of at least one big block Chevy with twin turbos pulling 1400 hp cruising around the Warren Tech Center.....ok ok, Sunoco race gas....

But seriously, twin superchargers and nitrous is just tecnoturbation.

Wait till the owner finds a corner
Whats not to like? Very cool, turbo would be even cooler.
        Twin turbo would own.
No, because TT is done to death. Seriously, how many cars have twin-superchargers? Or even one s/c & one turbo? Turbos are overdone.
        I agree!
Superchargers are cool, turbos are awesome!

        Kevlar-reinforcement, anyone?

i mean i get the idea, showing the extreme fabrication and one-offs they could make for you, but i've never seen the likes of this before (again, twin roots, have seen twin centrifugals)...
I'd rather have a TT Terminator Cobra or GT500 TT. Seriously, you have to up the displacement on this to make 1000hp wheres there are Cobras out there that will put out similar numbers with just 4.6L or 281ci engines. The 5.4L in the GT500 is a beast too. I want to see a race between this and a TT Terminator. I bet the SRT8 turns to a shrapnel grenade before the 1/4 mile.

      Sweeeeeeeet!
I feel like it'd be cooler for one roots one centrifugal. I dont really understand why not one big one?
      wait, twin roots-type blowers?

Yeah, but what's the gas mileage?
        Challenger SRT8

        18 MPG

        This Challenger
