VIDEO: 2010 Toyota Prius teaser... now with Blue Man Group

Click above to see the Blue Man Group play around with the 2010 Prius
Now it begins to make sense: The previous performance art video teasers for the 2010 Prius were made up largely of edited shots from this teaser, with the Blue Man Group restored to its place. This one doesn't make any more or less sense than the previous videos, and there isn't much more to see, but it does offer a couple of chuckles. We would love to see how far you get with that eyedropper, though. Follow the jump to check out the video and see what we mean. Hat tip to reader Jerry!

I can't believe I sat through 3 minutes and 31 seconds of the most boring ad with the most boring car ever produced. I can never get that 3:31 minutes back.
Maybe I was hoping for more information such as, the true cost of owning this piece of engineering garbage compared to a normal car that does'nt look like a cheese wedge.

"This one doesn't make any more or less sense than the previous videos, and there isn't much more to see..."
If you'd read this part first, perhaps you wouldn't have wasted your time. 'Tis your own damn fault...
That said, this is about as exciting as a Toyota will ever get and they're completely okay with that. It'll sell though.

I can't believe I wasted my life reading your stupid comment.
The new prius looks pretty good tho it should have Li-Ion batts at launch.
And a solar panel, for keeping the car cool in summer hear.

Fatima,
calling a Prius "good looking" is like saying Roseanne Barr or Rosie O'donnel could be the stars of a Victoria Secret show.

So...does Prius still harm the environment more than Hummer? Or did they manage to find toxic nickel somewhere in Japan? Pointless car if you ask me. Sure, it sells because of bandwagoners who jumped on Prius to look green, but they are too dumb to look past the gas consumption and claims by Toyota.

Please... not that CNW Marketing Research HUMMER/Prius "study" again. It's been debunked many times from people on both the "green" and "non-green" sides, and even CNW had to retract it. And even GM (the maker of HUMMER) won't cite it in HUMMER marketing.

This commercial brought to mind Wall-E for me. I dunno, trying to stop global warming with a mass-produced mass-consumer product...
...I know, if you're out to buy a brand new car this might be the most environmentally-sound alternative in many ways, but you're still adding more sheetmetal, more stuff to throw away to a junkyard.
Personally, I like Ford's approach better. Using recycled materials for interior upholstery and other doodads (as in the Ford Escape) is a far better way to help the environment than just using less gas a la the Prius.
I would buy a Ford Escape Hybrid over this, any day of the week.

Still no sunroof? That's so 90's!
And don't give me the old "Well, we had to run the high voltage cable through the roof" BS! Everyone else has been able to offer a sun/moonroof on their hybrids. If Toyota is such a great engineering company, why can't they figure it out?

wtf... and that boomerang? Toyota should take lessons from Audi on marketing.

How I wonder how much the Prius can go on a few drops of gas? 100 miles?

all that showed me was how ugly that hunk of crap is. the interior even looks awful

Toyota just cannot design a decent looking vehicle. They either copy, or just go for the curved surfaces that lead to sharp lines randomly with no logic or flow.
I wouldn't be so bothered by the design if it was so it could get even BETTER mileage, but it'll get WORSE than the Volt.
Toyota, you'll always be known for more 'efficient' manufacturing and building of vehicles, but you'll NEVER be known for passion and design. Oh, and in the offroad community, you'll forever be known as the company that never fixed the body ripping on the FJ Cruiser.

The center gauges are tolerable in the Mini, with its dinner-plate-size speedometer, but the concept is poorly executed in this Prius; all the gauges in that tiny slot in the center of the dash and soooo far away from the driver.
If I was shopping for a small hybrid, I would much rather have an Insight.

Every time something new comes out about the Prius the haters come out of the wood work. What I would like to here from you people is what you do like that gets 45 miles per gallon and has real world functionality. All you ever do is bag on Toyota without giving alternatives. This car is a game changer whether you like it or not. But I guess moving away from being at the mercy of countries like Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and Saudi Arabia are of no interest to you American car loving people. Oil sucks and any that uses less of it is a good thing.

well, the new Ford Fusion has been getting something like 43mpg by most car magazines so far. and not only does it look way better, but the interior is also light years better and it's also a much better and more involving drive, faster and safer than this UGLY thing Toyota calls the Prius

Love new interior!
