Top Gear Australia replacing Charlie Cox?

Anyone who's been watching the original Top Gear knows it took a bit of switcheroo to get the chemistry right before things really took off (James May replaced the rotundish Jason Dawe after Series 1 of the current show concluded), and TG Australia is no different. Charlie Cox (the bloke on the left) is reportedly leaving the young show due to commitments in Britain, and word is that he will be replaced by Australian jazz trumpeter James Morrison. Thankfully, Morrison not only arrives with an instrument, he comes with a revhead pedigree: He hosted a show in the '90s called Behind the Wheel, and he currently holds the quickest time for the Star in a Bog Standard Car on TG Australia. After some ups and downs during the first season, perhaps now the show has a shot at making some real music. Thanks for the tip, Liam!

Is that Thomas Friedman in the center?

Damn, he was the only one that made that show watchable...

Yea Charlie was the best one. They should get rid of the guy with the really long neck.

Agreed but then James Morrison could just be Oz's answer to Clarkson!
I would like to wish both Charlie and the show all the best for the future!

He was the worst one. Always yelling and waving his arms about.
I get why you liked him now, he is a typical USian :)

I honestly thought that Charlie had the appearance that he didn't want to be there anyway, zero display of emotion at all.

Yup, Charlie had to go. Next to go is the annoying dweeb on the right.

Charlie was so bad. No emotion. He had to pretend to fight and argue with the other guys. Watch him give an interview, he is constantly moving about his chair and sweating. It’s hard to watch.

That's a good move. Charlie just didn't quite fit, and I reckon James Morrison will do a great job. Should make a big improvement to Top Gear Australia.

The cartoonist (the guy with mustache) is the only watchable guy. Charlie was fine but at the same time something was wrong about him. The small guy on the right is annoying as hell with his constant neck stretching as if he tries too hard to look taller. And his thick accent that is often hard to understand isn't helping either.

What thick accent? Seems fine to me...
And yes, I am an Australian.

FINALLY! I can go back to watching it next season. Charlie pulled the show down.

They're all bad. All of their personalities are bland, dull, boring. I hate to say it, but even the fat guy on Fifth Gear is more enjoyable... and I really, really don't like him.

What personalities?
Matt 8:12AM (12/21/2008)
About time, he was TERRIBLE. Watching him try to talk to people was painful, to the point where some of the "stars in a bog standard car" had to carry him along to keep the segment going (eg the chick that hosts Rockwiz).
Morrison is relaxed and natural in front of the camera and a funny guy, next season should be a lot better.

Does that mean they might review a car in the next series?
...or will they continue to be muted from real opinion like everyone else in this country?
