The unadulterated beauty that is the BMW CS Concept cannot decide whether it wants to be built. A little more than a year ago the CS Concept was going to be the basis for a new flagship sedan. A month ago, BMW turned heel and walked away from a production version, running instead into the arms of smaller vehicles and EfficientDynamics. Now, Evo claims it has caught BMW testing a CS mule near BMW's headquarters. What is actually pictured, however, is a 7 Series with a CS-style nose and headlights. While a production CS would be based on the 7 Series, this is a long way from BMW actually building the CS. We aren't saying they won't, since every car has to start somewhere... but we are saying be skeptical.

The CS is a beauty. BMW's latest offerings are not.
BMW needs to get rid of the X6 and proposed X1 and replace it with the CS. Like, NOW (the CS honestly has more reason for existence than the X6).

Gimme a break. Unless a bulbous shape with more creases than a basket of ironed dress pants is your thing.

        Well damnit, it's my thing!

are you kidding, even the mule is hot

I dunno... guess to me this looks like they crossed a current 7 series with the Citroen GT. Just a little bit.

        To me that's win.

dumbest comment ever read on Autoblog. The beauty of the CS is in the details, look at the proportions for christs sake!

Wrong. This car is proof that BMW can indeed make beautiful cars. Save the criticism for the Z. I hate that thing.

I hated this car, personally. It just seemed bulbous and overly detailed. The headlights look funky to me and I didn't like the over-sized grille. The proportions just seem kind of off to me as well. The rear seems too short and fat compared to the longer and thinner nose.

How about this. . could it be a new 8series in a 7series mule?

I think the concept is a serious beauty.

I'm with the crew that thinks it's a refresh for the yet to be released 7.

I'll take the idea one step further and say that's what the rest of the world's getting, since Europe has the pedestrian standards that prohibits low-slung noses.

      Otherwise, maybe it's a special order 7.
