MAM debuts ZR1 wheels for earlier Corvettes
Mid-America has put C4, C5, and C6 Corvette owners twenty spokes closer to owning a ZR1. Anyone with a '97-'09 Vette can order the wheels in paired sizes in Chrome, Hyper Silver, Painted Black, and Black Chrome. They're $500 per pair and will ship in the New Year. Could be worth the wait for the Vette owner who (thinks he or she) has everything. You can read all about them in the press release after the jump and start your order with "Dear Santa..."[Source: Mid America Motorworks]

That's what I was thinking. mmm, I wonder what the weight is for each wheel, might get it for my car if it fits.

I wonder if Hyper Silver is the factory finish. Aftermarket wheel makers never seem to offer the factory finish. They always offer bling-y chrome and polished aluminum, but you have to get lucky on the used market or pay through the nose at a dealer for the factory look.

AND If you want to go all the way with your ZR1 wanabe...places like West Coast Corvette are also selling full ZR1 GM bodykit parts for the C6. You can buy the ZR1 carbon fiber hood (with the clear window), front end conversion, side skirts, spoiler, etc. I'm sure it won't be long before someone does this.

Ha this reminds me of how Civic and Integra owners put type R body panels, emblems, etc... on their cars.

And WCC is a rip off joint, overpriced. lousy quality and do not let them work on your Corvette if you want to keep the engine in 1 piece.
This place changes owners several times and then claims we should forget all the bad services done in the past.

If you notice those rims only come with a maximum width of 10 inches so limited to tire size used so it may look like a ZR1 but cannot get the tire width like a 335 series tires ( more like a 275) so good for the wazers but not for those of us with the HP needing 12 inch wide rims.

You can definetly go larger then 275s on a 10 inch wheel, and you could probably squeeze 335 inch tires on it.

So they made knock off BBS wheels?

Not a chance as the sidewall would bulge out and also hit the inner fenderwell.
ZR1 does not use 12 wide for no reason.
I use rear 335s and it took a 12 inch wide rim and had to mini tub for clearance, esp when hard launching and ass end squats down
Front can handle 10 inch but 275s best for full turning without hitting.

most of the rims I see $250 each are crap, this are really nice, and they really add to a car. for those that want their c6 look like a zr1, the prices the website listed might as well end up being more expensive than the real car, keep in mind that adding all those parts would Ashly decrease the price of the car.

In my opinion, the wheels are by far the WORST part of the ZR1.
I could understand wanting to upgrade to ZR1 wheels for functionality purposes (which these are most likely lacking) but they are hideous.
C6 Z06 wheels are better. C5 Z06 wheels are even more better.
I can't believe someone at GM didn't suggest using a similar design to the C6R. And this is just one of the many reasons that GM will soon be belly up.

Tried to order these a couple of weeks ago and MAM said they were not available. I got an email from Zip Corvette Parts saying they were finally available at Zip last week. I ordered and they shipped Monday, will be here on Wednesday!
