Pics Aplenty: Audi R8 V10 wearing a bit of red

We already know that the Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI quattro will be one of the biggest debuts at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show next month, and we hope we see this one on the stand rather than the silver example we saw yesterday. Bathing this 525-horsepower beauty in buckets of red paint has taken the fiery Italian passion of its Lamborghini-sourced 5.2L V10 and pinned it on the R8's sleeve. This used to be the everyday supercar, but after drinking a glass of bull sweat has grown a pair large enough to drop the "everyday" qualifier and just go with supercar. Enough waxing poetic. Check out the new high-res shots of the Audi R8 V10 in red below.

red does this car a lot of justice!

It looks like a German man wearing swimming trunks.
Sexy, but not my preference, thanks.

Amazing, I hope Audi makes a twin turbo version of their V8 for their next generation model.

Exactly what did they change, except for the engine? It's looks exactly the same, but sexier...

Like any of audi's "RS" cars they changed the engine and exhaust, that's about it. Though it's enough of a subtle change to make this thing a screamer. I can't wait to track it.

First of all red makes all the difference. But, they gave the side vent a muscular bulge and changed the front and rear to look less a little more racy. The gloss-black plastic in the back makes it look like a racecar.
Although, truthfully, all those styling cues: glass engine cover, blacked-out rear end pieces, more pronounced air intakes are taken straight from Ferrari's playbook.

Damn, that's nice. As far as changes, the new side panel looks awesome. Much improved over flat slab they had there.

Audi continues to make sure they have the BEST design house in the industry (mainstream car-makers). A5, TT, this the A6.

I actually like it in red... looks good. The silver and white look like bars of soap :(

Finally a picture of a R8 with matching blade and wheels. Both the 4.2 V8 and this 5.2 V10 looks best in red. It's so cool. The new wheels too. Only thing I don't like, is the typical Audi RS-models exhaust (Oval). The Audi S-models exhaust (Two on each side) looks the best.
