JE Design throws its Scirocco into the mix

Volkswagen's new Scirocco seems to be the hottest new platform for Euro tuners, with Abt and MTM already coming out with tuning packages. JE Design has developed their own line of parts and accessories, starting with a subtle three piece aero kit that includes a new front spoiler, side skirts, and a rear spoiler extension. A performance kit boosts the turbocharged 2.0L inline-four to 244 bhp and 258 lb-ft torque, while an upgraded exhaust system adds another 11 more horsepower. Also available are lowering springs and multispoke wheels in a variety of finishes. Now if we could only get Volkswagen to once again reconsider its decision to not bring the Scirocco stateside. Hit the jump to read the press release.

PRESS RELEASE:
The JE DESIGN engineers once again confirm that they are the fastest of their kind. The VW tuning experts from Leingarten near Heilbronn can already deliver an entire sport programme for the new VW Scirocco which has only been introduced a few weeks ago. This programme can be ordered from free accessory dealers.
Whenever somebody is looking for an individual, sportive appearance, he is literally unable to avoid ordering a suitable body kit from JE DESIGN who deliver the suitable components in OEM quality. That means the material consists of high-quality ABS and all parts are custom-fit as they are milled with CNC. The kit for 919 € includes a front spoiler which already renders dynamism even when the car is not moving and is delivered with a centre spoiler sword in carbon look. The profile is also enhanced by side skirts with air inlets and a rear spoiler extension which perfectly matches the other components and is also available in carbon-look. If desired, makeover kits for crash-tested gull-wing doors can be obtained for 1.549 €
The end muffler which is made of stainless steel and comes with 2 centrally positioned oval end pipes (899€) renders an earthy sound and a stunning appearance. It is delivered with an EU operating license. Also available is a half system with 70 mm pipe diameter and increased by 11 hp.
Lowering springs by JE DESIGN which have been especially developed for the VW Scriocco (219 €) lower the car´s centre of gravity by 30 mm and are combined with serial shock absorbers. Of course, changing the serial wheels is an absolute must. Also here, the sport programme by JE DESIGN offers the elegant wheel design "multispoke" as wheel sets.
JE DESIGN offers wheels measuring 8x19 inches with 235/35 R19 tyres in "shadow silver" (2,810 €), "matt black / silver rim bead" ( 2,930 €) or in "white pearl / polished front" (for also 2,930 €).
Also under the bonnet, JE DESIGN boosts the power of the VW – the performance kit (1,249 €) increases the strength of the VW Scirocco 2.0 TFSI to 180 KW / 244 hp at 6,000 rpm. Thereby, also the torque rises from 280 to 350 Nm (at 3,350 rpm). And a VW Scirocco tuned by JE DESIGN accelerates from 0 to 100 in only 6.6 seconds and is therefore 0.6 seconds faster than its serial counterpart. The maximum speed rises by 7km/h to 242 km/h.
The price for the performance kit includes a one-year warranty and fitting costs.
JE DESIGN´s sport programme for the VW Scirocco is available at car accessory dealers or at Volkswagen partners from now on. For more information about the extensive programme by JE DESIGN, please visit the web site www.je-design.de.

I wish they would stop showing all of these beautiful pictures and just bring the car here with a proper 4 cyl direct injection turbo engine with atleast 265 hp!!! May be even the AWD system from the R32

yet it still manages to beat better balanced RWD cars (RX-8), or more powerful FWD cads (Ford ST Mountune, Fauxhall Astra VXR 'ring) around the track.

Well, I don't dig it. Rather have an ABT-tuned Scirocco.

The front looks good, the back not so much with those big tail lights.
Why could they make this a sleek coupe...corrado? We already have a Golf hatchback where does this car fit in?

I continue to have this secret hope that VW will bring the car to Canada - similar to other automakers bringing nice small cars to our market (and not to the US). Its worked out well in some cases (EL, CSX), not so well in others (sorry about the G5).
Still surprised that it took so long for Toyota to bring Scion on up here...
