Pics aplenty: 2010 Porsche Boxster and Cayman

Click above for a high-res gallery of the 2010 Porsche Cayman and Boxster
Porsche revealed their new and improved 2010 Boxster and Cayman yesterday at the LA Auto Show, complete with upgraded engines and the new PDK transmission. We posted plenty of high-res pictures, both press shots and live photos, but we just discovered these amazing photographs tucked away on the Porsche Cayman and Boxster microsites, begging to replace anyone's desktop wallpaper. Porsche has made sure to accommodate those with even the largest computer screens, and has provided up to 1920x1200 sizes. We've also put them in a convenient gallery below.

I like the first picture of the white Cayman S with 19s.

Porsche, the only manufacturer in the world where the design department is on vacation 11 of the 12 months a year.

That looks awesome. Second best looking modern Porsche, right behind the Carrera GT. (The Panamera, on the other hand, looks on course for the other end of the spectrum, right in front of Cayenne :P)

I've been using a cayman pic as my wallpaper for at least a couple of years now -- it may be time for an update..

Except most of the general public won't even notice...
But I still love Cayman/Boxster though, I'd take one (and the spare change) over a 911

The Cayman's never been a big deal, in my opinion. An overpriced Boxster. I would much rather purchase the Z4 M Coupe. For raw, brute force nothing beats the Z4's M powerplant in this price range.

Maybe because the Cayman basicly is a Boxster with a roof!
Plus, the Z4 M is nowhere near the Cayman in terms of driving dynamics.

I've driven both the Z4M and the current (not new) cayman S. The Z has a little more grunt on paper, sure, but it's no faster (either straight-line or on the track). Plus it can't match the handling intangibles of the balanced, mid-engine Cayman. It is cheaper, I suppose. This new DFI engined Cayman should easily outperform the Z4M.
