I love it, but the thought of driving "spirited" with a infant in the car still sounds kinda reckless no matter how safe that seat is.
Still that is the sweetest child seat ever.

I would say driving "efficiently." This way I can do a series of time trials with my son in the car to various destinations. My son's late for school you say? Nonsense, this past week I managed to shave another 2 mins and 33 secs off my previous best. My son has internal bruises done to his organs? No problem, the last time I rushed him to the hospital it was in a mere 3 minutes flat.
it's all about practicality.

Funny. My wife knows I'm a racing fan and I kept joking that we were going to get a carbon fiber baby seat. And when I shopped for a baby seat recently I even went to Sparco's website to see if they made any since I already knew that Recaro does (that's what I got).
Maybe next child.

As an owner of a Recaro child seat, the value of racing tech is not to haul baby and ass faster, but safer. The side protection built into race-inspired child seats make the other seats look absolutely pedestrian. I refuse to own a large car because of my son, and with the better seats, I don't feel like he is in harm's way.

I should clarify, I refuse to be "That guy" that runs out and buys the biggest frigging thing on wheels because he and his wife had a kid. I enjoy small cars, but know that the side impact protection is not as great as larger sedans, or what have you. Therefore, baby gets the best damn seat i can afford.
