2010 Nissan Cube breaks cover in Japan

The redesigned 2010 Nissan Cube will be unveiled in the U.S. tomorrow at the LA Auto Show, but Nissan's boxy little wagon is already making its way to Japanese showrooms, as evidenced by these shots of a transporter loaded with them. What you see here is what you'll see in LA tomorrow, only with one major difference: we'll get a reversed version of the car's asymmetrical layout. Stay tuned.

The ugly tree grew a few more branches for this duckling to fall from.

The old cube looks much better than this thing. The old 350z looks also much better than the 370z. What's up with Nissan lately?

Change is good for the Cube...but the Kia Soul looks ways better. Can't wait to see it in person at the LA Autoshow...

I like the blacked-out A pillar on the silver Cube... should provide yet another alternative to the current boxes arriving to market. I'll let the driving dynamics and interior ergonomics determine whether this is a good box or not. None of the boxes in this segment are what I would consider "handsome" or even mildly "attractive" so I'll just go with "fun" and/or "useful" and see how it does.

The silver model is actually the older version of the Cube. I think it's one of the later model years of it, maybe '07?

Looks pretty good. If priced well should sell in good numbers. Maybe Nissan will have a base model similar to the under 10k Versa model.

A much better alternative to the awfully styled Scions.

I'm kinda diggin' the Soul as well. As 'unique' as the Cube's asymetrical layout is, it must be horribly expensive to produce it in 2 'mirror-image' versions.

I actually like it. It's definitely unique.
Anyone else see the 370Z peeking out from behind it in the second photo?
