Ford to unveil 2010 Mustang live on SPEED TV

Can't make it out to the L.A. Auto Show to see Ford's new pony car? No worries! The Blue Oval and SPEED TV have teamed up to provide live coverage of the 2010 Mustang's unveiling next week. The cameras will be rolling next Tuesday at 11:00 p.m. EST, so either put it on your schedule or set your DVR. Of course, we'll also be there with cameras in hand, so be sure to check back here for plenty of photos and all the latest news on the Mustang and the rest of the LA Auto Show.

ford is making way to big a deal about a refreshed car with same mechanical and a slightly different face and butt
i'll be impressed when they roll out the new mustang with independent rear suspension and that ecoboost engine.

I think this one will look significantly better based on spy shots. I heard the IRS will be replacing the Live Axle in 2011 plus an ecoboost engine, so it isn't that far off.

hike15: I agree. A mild refresh with a solid rear axle is not interesting to me.

Do we even know for sure that this is only a body refresh with no mechanical changes at all? I know that is what was rumored, but I haven't seen any absolute proof of it yet.
I doubt they are going to release a car that is exactly the same as the current mustang underneath. It might not have what we've been waiting for (IRS and a 5L+ engine), but I'd still be interested in it if they found a way to get 325hp out of the current 4.6L and better gas mileage.

To be honest I dont really care about the mustang right now. I ll care when i am able to afford one. For now what I am looking to buy is a 1987 5.0 mustang GT. The mustang is the American pony can and I am sure a lot of people are interested in the new model regardless.

A new Mustang is like a Harley. It's not about how fast you get around the track (especially one that's across an ocean) that lures so many buyers. It's a nostalgic taste of pure Americana during a time of economic and political unrest. // I can't wait for the Camaro to be released. Comparative sales will be the barometer.

I read the Mustang posts not just because I like the car but more for the comedy. The comedy of "this car is dumb" or "this doesn't interest me" but STILL take the time to look and post how they don't like it!
Funny stuff!
As for testing everything on "the ring" I find it overrated. Few people will ever push a car like a GT-R or Corvette anywhere near what it can do on "the ring". GM would be better served not wasting money on sending engineers across the world every 2 months to tune a car on a race track far and above any buyer will ever see.
Yes, every 2 months my neighbor who is an engineer tech for GM was sent to Nurburgring. Now he's playing solitare on his computer, waiting for GM to start developing cars again.

my "sources"(!OMG!) have yet to be wrong, and they certainly wont be this time either. one of them revealed that the GT500 would have 500HP before the shelby name was even involved. another revealed that ford is working on hard core factory off-road truck weeks before four wheeler magazing spilled the beans. i know everyone here will be doubting, but my info is not wrong.

'Knight Rider' is very good PPL to kids.
kids thinks Mustang is superior car than any other car in this planet.
However, Mustang still have a "cheap" and high school student car image.
