Tenth and final 2010 Ford Mustang teaser reveals rear taillight

A tease is only fun for a short while, and we're ready for this one to be over. Ford's unveiling of the 2010 Mustang has been unbearably slow, and the only reason we aren't going crazy right now is because we will have seen the car in person by this time next week. The latest (and final) tease to come from Ford shows most of the updated rear end. We really like what we see, especially the rear spoiler which now has a ducktail design instead of being raised from the rear decklid. The taillights maintain their classic three-pillar design, although they now have a more tailored look that flows along the line of the rear bumper. According to Ford, there will also be an option for a rear-view camera, although we don't know exactly where the camera will be placed. We'll bring you all the details and plenty of photos next week from the LA Auto Show, but until then enjoy one last look at the gallery of all ten teasers below.

I hope Ford hears our collective cries on Autoblog: make it lighter!

As a Taxpayer who is assisting Ford I demand to see the whole thing.

Make it lighter? A damn GT weighs 200lbs less than a V-6 Camaro!
Now, if you are talking about the GT500, then I agree.

meh... I liked the square taillights better. Looks alright, though.

It looks kinda obvious that the rear camera is in the spoiler..

At least it's not hidden in the badge like Ford F150. It sticks out for miles.

Every reverse-camera I saw on a non-SUV sticks out like a sore thumb... namely the one in the middle of that chrome lip-spoiler of the G35/G37.

Who is the slack-ass that needs a review camera on a mustang?

You can see it in the middle of the spoiler.

Umm...have you not looked above the third brake light in the 'duck-tail' spoiler! See that round circle? That is the rear-view camera.
I guess after looking at 10 teaser pics things can get over looked. :)

or maybe it was just an ironic comment lol

I think it looks like the camera is placed in the center of the spoiler. This will be great. I can only assume the screen will be integrated into the rearview mirror like the F150 or the flex. This will be a great option!

The side mirrors are still fugly and do not fold.

Damn how can they not put folding mirrors on it still?? Theres a guy in my garage that has lost the mirror on his '07 from his parking space being close to a pillar. Ive seen plenty of Mustangs with broken mirrors around Chicago. You'd figure they would fix this by now.
Jay Evans 1:08PM (11/13/2008)
Folding mirrors are only on cars that need to be imported/exported by boat.
That's why they fold, to be able to park the cars closer together, saving space.
LMBVette 1:30PM (11/13/2008)
When your mirror gets hit by road debris and is broken, and there is also damage to the door where the mirror mounts due to the mirror staying in place........tell me that folding mirrors are not a good idea.
