VIDEO: Oolala! French commentators at a loss for words

Honestly now, who doesn't enjoy a good laugh at the expense of a stereotypical caricature of a Frenchman? We know we do. Especially when peppered with footage of spectacular racing crashes, over which the Parisian telecasters can say little more than "Oolala!", "Incroyable!", "Sacre Bleu!" and such. So sit back, pop open a beer and enjoy the endless humor of French exclamation.

He's saying "C'est pas possible!" Which literally translated means "It's not possible!" You get the gist.

LOL. Why didn't any of these spectacular crashes happen when I used to watch F1?! And why were there French commentators covering a Nascar race?

The "ooolalalala" gets me every time. The NASCAR race also confused me. I didn't think the French cared about NASCAR.

The French watch NASCAR? Like I really needed any more reasons not to like them.

To all of you who are wondering why there would be French commentary for a NASCAR race: there is a country north of you. It's called Canada. It has maples, NASCAR fans and French speakers, all in one place.

Those commentators are from Motor TV France. They do not represent french Canadians but its for the french europeen viewers. We have other channels here that show NASCAR in french.
why not the LS2LS7? 4:10PM (11/08/2008)
NASCAR airs in the UK too.
Rocketboy 6:26PM (11/08/2008)
Well, not r-e-a-l-l-y French, no matter what they would like you to think. Hell, even the real French don't like French Canadians.

Thanks Rocketboy for this sensible comment...
