ASMA Design turns evil eye towards Merc SL-Class

Click above to view a high-res gallery of the ASMA SL
ASMA's latest adventures in bodykitting have been described as "working their magic," though that magic part seems like a stretch. If you think your Mercedes SL is nice, but would really benefit from some overwrought body mods, ASMA now has a collection of appliques that will fill the void. Ostentatiously ugly, without being outright hideous, ASMA's tweaks include a cow-catcheresque fascia, a ride height reduction, side sills, and a piece-de-resistance rear diffuser that would make a study hall doodler cringe. Of course the wheels have been sized up to something more akin to the hull diameter of a Trident submarine, and they're chrome, natch. Like any good train wreck, we just can't turn away - hit the gallery for more pics.

Assma is a suitable name for this tuner.

Nice LOTF reference.
IMO, this really doesn't look THAT bad. It does, however, remind me of the Chrysler Crossfire.

Those pictures looked pretty blurry overall... lacked contrast too.

They really do just need to stop. Like a lot of these so-called "premium tuners".

It really is an amazing feat when someone manages to ruin a great car like a Merc SL. Mercs are usually subtle and generally understated by design (with exception to the Black Series... and even then, the mods are functional). You'd think these so called tuners would choose styling pieces that compliment the features, rather than look like they're at war with it.
(Short version: Yuck!)

The grille looks like it came from a Hyundai Genesis.

And it belongs nowhere on this car, the grille is too elegant for this aggressive bodykit. Maybe ASMA has lost their sight?

The front actually isn't too bad, but the gills all over the place and the rear bumper, look retarded.

Excellent job. At least photoshopped "glowing" license plate looks sorta-OK for a semi-blind drunk looking at the pictures.

I'm not sure which is worse, putting a Hyundai Genesis grill on a merc or the worlds worst photoshopped front plate in marketing pics.
