SEMA 2008: Randomly outrageous paintjobs and graphics

Click above for high-res gallery of these attention grabbers
What would SEMA be without all of those outrageous graphics and paintjobs? There are thousands of vehicles here and many sport wild hues and stripes to attract attention. With our coverage of the 2008 SEMA Show winding down, we've collected a gallery of some of the ones that really caught our attention. While many are incredibly distasteful, some are just very unusual color choices while others are merely cool or interesting graphics. Some we like, some not so much. You'll likely have some favorites and supreme faux paus, as well. Check out the gallery below to judge for yourself.

To much flash for me, but there are some good artists out there.

They mostly look the same to me. Air-brushed to the nth degree.
I did like the "John Deere" Smart car, though. In that color scheme, jancked up and with some knobby tires, it could have some utility.

Some of these look great, some just bizarre, some great but still leave me asking "Why woudl I ever want that on a car?"
Question for the editors in attendance: what is up with the Magnum with the scenes from Christ's Passion on it? The patriotic National Guard car, random hot women...these all make sense, if being silly, but why does a station wagon that essentially look like a heart have Jesus on it? Just an artist, or was there an explanation?
