World's largest Lamborghini dealer turns out the lights!
It looks like dealers of mainstream high volume autos aren't the only ones struggling with the current credit freeze. Plenty of car dealers across the country have turned out the lights this year as sales have dried up and costs for borrowing to stock cars have gone up. In spite of that, exotic car sales have apparently held up even in this down market. Evidently that wasn't enough to help Orange County Lamborghini. The Santa Ana, CA dealership reportedly accounted for 10 percent of all 2,400 Lamborghini sales world-wide. Pietro Frigerio, COO of Lamborghini America, told the Orange County Register that current economic conditions were not the reason for the closing. Instead he pointed at other business dealings by dealership owner Vik Keuylian. No details were provided, but it would not be surprising if Keuylian was involved in the Southern California real estate market that has gone bust this year. This could pose a significant issue for Lamborghini and Bull owners in the region. The company will have to line up new sales and service outlets quickly in the SoCal market. Drove by Lambo central last week and everything seemed normal with a flashy new Lambo sitting on the lawn and a few others locked up inside.
Then I passed by Saturday and only 3 Audi 'company cars' were parked on the side lot. Strange, I thought.

I've always heard rumors of this place closing but they always seem to do that in order to get people to come in and buy cars, then suddenly they're doing all right and they stay in business for another year...

Getting out now for whatever reason is as good a time as any. By the time our economy is tanked by "wealth redistribution" very few will be entertaining the purchase of a Raging Bull product.

It'll probably be sold shortly and reopen under new management. Sounds like the owner needs some liquid cash.

He also owns Commonwealth VW and a dealership in Beverly Hills, should be interesting to see what happens to those. Per the article saying Lambo needs to hurry up and set up another dealership, no rush, there's quite a few Lambos or Lambo authorized dealers in SoCal.

Except the Audi shop 1 mile away has a bunch of idiots there. Not a single car on the lot is worth buying, they have oddball options, no a3's or a5's. Most because they are primarily a VW dealer and do not want to poach highly optioned golfs with the A3.

What's wrong with you? Just because they sell products you can never afford doesn't mean we should celebrate a company going out of business.
It's sad people like you hate the idea of anybody with wealth in this country. No wonder we are going into socalism.
