First real world pics of Nissan 370Z surface

After a year of renderings, rumors and spy shots, Nissan finally provided an official glimpse of the new 370Z. Unfortunately, the only images released were a few computer-generated stills and a handful of screen captures from the next Need for Speed game. Now, we've gotten our hands on the first live pics of the Nissan 370Z, captured at an undisclosed event ahead of its reveal at the LA Auto Show later this month.
While the CG images give us a general idea of the shapes employed on the new Z, it's not until you lay eyes on a few live shots (or better yet, see it in person) to let the details sink in. The new head and taillight treatments are sure to be divisive, but the new 3.7-liter V6 – rumored to put out around 330 hp – can't be argued with. Thanks for the tip, Matt!

+2, the mustang teaser crap does nothing for me. This car? Sex. A very nice improvement over the 350z. That rear came out much nicer then I thought it would, and the front is an interesting mix of 350Z and S2000. I like it, very japanese, very good looking... i may have to get one.

That's sickly looking piece of metal waste, so distasteful.

Umm...uhh...I dunno. Overall I think it looks great...but it's individual details clash like the sharp roof-line kink and the excessive c-pillar treatment...even the rear-glass window. I dunno...I'm such a huge fan of the current Z. It just flows so well. This one? Not so sure yet...

Im with you there. The A-pillar does not flow with the roof. Almost like they meant to black them out like the GT-R but that is not a good look either. The rear window should have the same curve as the rear lights. And the L shaped headlights have to go. Just look how much better they would look without the turn. MAke they long slender and they would look bad ass. Now they look just awkward. But it is real close to being very nice.

I don't know what to think about it. I liked the press pictures and I liked the Germany test shots but I don't like it in these photos at all. The tail lights are all wrong. The head lights looks funny too. Even the roof line looks off.
I'll reserve my judgment until I see it in person. That may never happen though since no one will buy it!

On the contrary, Sid. I think this flows much better. I really have thought that the current version looks cobbled together. The headlights look slapped on and the mouth looks like: "Oh! Yeah! We need to get some air in there!"
This, I really like. How well balanced does it handle? What would it do with 4 snow tires?

Wow...that's quite intimidating style, almost like a snake. Can't wait to see it on the track.

I do like it but it's no Corvette, or Viper.

And my haircut looks nothing like a mullet.

Is that a fourth brake light between the tailpipes? If so, that's certainly a weird spot... who's going to see it down there, unless a Lamborghini happens to pull up behind you?

why not the LS2LS7? 9:34PM (11/05/2008)
It's supposed to look like an F1 rear wet weather light.
But instead it looks like ass.

I can't help but think that it looks like a bad hemorrhoid.
Not that I've ever seen one, but that's what I imagine it looks like ... from the commercials.

@ why not the LS2LS7?
Oh it's suppose to huh? And how would you know? You have a direct line to the designers?
Idiotic comment as usual.
