Badass soapbox racer built by... Zebco?

Click above for gallery of the Zebco soapbox racer
Zebco, the fishing reel maker out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was recently asked to participate in the Sand Springs soapbox derby in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Upon hearing that aerospace companies would be at the party, the Zebco employees charged with devising an entrant figured they'd better bring their A-game. What they created was the object you see above: a three-wheeled, knee-height, fully-faired downhill racer that has to be one of the best looking soapbox challengers ever created. The credit crunch probably hasn't gotten around to the fishing reel industry yet, but if it does, might we suggest you call Boeing, Tesla and A123 to see what you can all come up with. For the rest of you, check out the gallery of images below. Thanks for the tip, Jaime!

Looks dangerous. I wouldn't want to be the child/ little person crammed inside of it.

One of the members of the team has a Cardomain site with a few extra images if anyone is interested (Not mine, I just googled "Zebco Skunkworks" and it popped up):

Nice Job Zebco! I often wondered how my old Zebco 404 closed-faced fishing reel cast so well considering the turns the line has to make before leaving the reel.
It must be AERODYNAMICS!
The car looks really purposefully designed. I like it.

Ahhhhaaa yes. I remember soap box derby. It was SUPPOSED to be an avenue for fathers and sons to make something together to foster relationships. I presume the kids will now love Zebco and friends? Well, thats history for you....

I have never seen a vibrator with wheels but it looks like something my girlfriend would enjoy. Does it come with batteries?

Who knew the best way to go fast in a soapbox was to shape it like a turd?

Nice job, although I would have gone with a set of dimpled Zipp wheels.

I wonder who made the casting call to reel in the design talent.

IIRC, violates soapbox derby rules...doesn't use regulation wheels and axles.
