Be forewarned, this post does have nudity. But because the bare chest in question is being used to promote breast cancer awareness in a nation less stuffy about the naked female form than our own, we don't feel creepy for posting about it. Everybody wins! The image you see above can be found on Ford's Venezuelan website where it's being used to promote a joint breast cancer awareness and prevention campaign between the automaker and coincidentally named Ford Models. The two have teamed up to get their message out to both women and men, hence the vivacious Venezuelan model in her birthday suit to get and keep the latter's attention.

Together the two companies have offered free mammograms to all female Ford employees and any working within the automaker's dealer network in Venezuela. They're also holding a sweepstakes in which people can enter via texting to win a Ford Explorer and other prizes. Money earned from the texting charges will go to charities associated with breast cancer awareness and research. We of course support raising money and awareness for this great cause (in the U.S. we like Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and you can also find a list of rated breast cancer-related charities here), but we find it Twilight Zone strange to see that much bare skin on one of Ford's official websites. Thanks for the tip, catgirlshyla!

i can't believe you're apologizing and feeling a little guilty because of a nipple ...
"we don't feel creepy for posting about it"?!?

it's a part of human body. grow up.

So some on here would judge us to be unenlightened because there would be a problem with an ad with this type of nudity.

So, we are supposed to prove how enlightened and open-minded we are and the way we can do that is by showing breasts in public and that is how we are judged? Who is focusing on breasts here? How has a hang-up again?
Watch the crazy Christians go bat-sh*t nuts over a nipple. God forbid it's for a good cause.

Hm. Well, that's a pair of breasts alright.

So anyhow, let's talk about how Ford needs to bring some of those European models over to the States.

They should have placed the SUV driving up onto the boob to show how capable it is in mountainous terrain.

Paco Jones . . . yes, I do feel strongly about this topic and feel it's very important. And I agree with you a little that arrousal is in the eye of the beholder but that only goes so far. I mean, we need to be realistic here. My only argument is that this image is created almost exclusively for arrousal - not for true awareness. In other words it's just a gimmick. You may say that people that are "mature" like you don't get arroused at this type of imagery. Well, I don't think that's right when I read people's enthusiasm. I'm sure they're not stoked for the composition of the "art" or any other principles of design. No - it's cause it's a gorgeous woman in a provacative pose doing what it's created to do - arrouse red-blooded men.

And why do all of you think I'm offended by boobs or that I'm sheltered? Do you even care what my background is? No. You'd rather assume who and what I am because you can't comprehend someone objecting to this tactic unless they fit your mold. Let me say that I absolutely love boobs and the female body very much. And yes, my views are pretty traditional but haven't always been. In fact many years ago I would have been posting much of what I object to now. Pretty funny actually.

And the suggestion of "just closing the browser" is pretty lame. If I feel like objecting to something I will. One thing I will never tell someone like you that opposes my view is to just leave. I can take the bashing. I don't have hard feelings against you or the others even if you think my writing style suggests it.

And by the way, you're still not addressing any of my arguments. You're just doing what everyone else has done. Call me a few names and assume I'm some kind of religious zealot that hates sex, women, or both. Why don't you try to educate yourself to the opposing view before you attack it. I've been who you are - but you haven't been who I am. If you think that's too bold and a bunch of crap then just try me. I have nothing to hide.

It's actually done pretty tastefully, but I second John's comment... God help us!

If Ford North America could grow a pair, (not unlike the fine pair here) for their advertising campaigns they would out have a better chance of digging themselves out of this financial mess.

Here is hoping all the pruds in this country pass on at some point in the future. It's a pair of boobs, whats the big deal.

So as long as there is a 6month old sucking on it it's ok but sans baby its porn in this country, I just don't get it.
