Ford Venezuela website publishes boob (with nipple) for a good cause

Be forewarned, this post does have nudity. But because the bare chest in question is being used to promote breast cancer awareness in a nation less stuffy about the naked female form than our own, we don't feel creepy for posting about it. Everybody wins! The image you see above can be found on Ford's Venezuelan website where it's being used to promote a joint breast cancer awareness and prevention campaign between the automaker and coincidentally named Ford Models. The two have teamed up to get their message out to both women and men, hence the vivacious Venezuelan model in her birthday suit to get and keep the latter's attention.
Together the two companies have offered free mammograms to all female Ford employees and any working within the automaker's dealer network in Venezuela. They're also holding a sweepstakes in which people can enter via texting to win a Ford Explorer and other prizes. Money earned from the texting charges will go to charities associated with breast cancer awareness and research. We of course support raising money and awareness for this great cause (in the U.S. we like Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and you can also find a list of rated breast cancer-related charities here), but we find it Twilight Zone strange to see that much bare skin on one of Ford's official websites. Thanks for the tip, catgirlshyla!

So a woman's nipples must be covered up but fat guys are allowed to walk around on the street baring their protoplasm?
Need I cry double Standard?
This makes me so angry, I should start plastering nude photos to public property.

1.Tastefully done.
2.For a good cause.

Advertising is always f*cked up & biased. I remember some years back people raised a stink about a Calvin Klein ad because it had kids in underwear on it... the masses were screaming kiddie porn. But no one ever said jack about the hundreds of naked kids in diaper ads. There's always a double standard.
But good cause or not, those sure are some nice tits. ;)

It's actually done pretty tastefully, but I second John's comment... God help us!

Um, for those of us surfing from work, many without the benefit of Adblock, please post the images AFTER the jump, not before. Why not a cropped pic like you do for the spy-shots?

surfing from work?!?!? and you want this blocked?
I could understand if you're surfing for porn (although that WOULD be stupid). But if your boss comes around the corner and sees a nipple on your screen, god forbid, I'm sure you'll get fired.
Just don't tell him that it's on Autoblog--a car blog, and that the picture if of a nipple that Ford--the car company, is using to promote breast cancer awareness.
Give your head a shake and grow up.

I applaud Ford for this initiative and the Venezuelan attitude towards issues of nudity... I live there and I haven't heard anyone complain or remark about the campaign to say anything else than "Great!"

If Ford North America could grow a pair, (not unlike the fine pair here) for their advertising campaigns they would out have a better chance of digging themselves out of this financial mess.

canada and usa should grow a pair. the problem is we have overprotective, weak societies where most people get offended over just about anything -- even natural things like breasts. can't blame companies for being conservative.
Steve_S 12:54PM (10/28/2008)
Here is hoping all the pruds in this country pass on at some point in the future. It's a pair of boobs, whats the big deal.
So as long as there is a 6month old sucking on it it's ok but sans baby its porn in this country, I just don't get it.

Hm. Well, that's a pair of breasts alright.
So anyhow, let's talk about how Ford needs to bring some of those European models over to the States.

I meant cars, not women! Get your heads out of the gutter. I was referring to the Euro Focus...
Los 2:36PM (10/28/2008)
Yeah you still don't get it. Nothing in this article refers to Ford Europe. Venezuela is in South America.
